The Gallery of Eltanin

Post by Eltanin »

So, I guess it's time I create my own gallery post. :D

As I hinted in some other topic, I didn't come back empty handed from Lucca. And as Gaffey correctly guessed, this is the piece (now, I can say it :D ):

A bit of back story here:
It was my birthday last month, and my parents knowing my passion for original art, they proposed to offer me a new piece and let me decide what I wanted.
Knowing Stan was coming to Lucca, and being a fan of Usagi, I naturally decided the perfect gift for me was an Usagi comission.

I wanted Usagi, Jotaro and Tomoe in a festive mood and setting, and Stan suggested the Boys' day festival (on May 5). The result exceeded my expectations, and I am really psyched about it.

I met Stan yesterday at Lucca festival to pick the commission, and he also sketched a 47 Ronin book for me:

Finally, here a sketch Stan did for me in a french edition of Usagi a few years ago in Angoulême (you'll notice that San made the effort to use the french word "pour" instead of "for"):

I also have a Saga hardcover with a quick sketch inside, but I don't have a picture on my computer, so I will keep it for another day.

If you are curious to see the rest of my comic original art collection (the non-Usagi related pieces), here is my CAF gallery:

And my 2DG gallery (it's similar to CAF, except it's a european website):

Awesome! I'm glad you got such a nice commission, as well as the 47 Ronin sketch. I also like the colors you added in the other thread.

I really like it, with the humor of the tokage stealing Gen's food. :D

Lovely! And the tokagé is a neat touch.

I'll commission something from Stan. Just trying to figure out what.
Now would I cheat a friend?

Such a wonderful piece! I love it too! I really enjoy these little snippets of Usagi's Japan, especially when other characters are involved! :D
