No...besides, I reallyreallyreally wanna see Usagi and Tomoe hook up.
And Mariko and Kenichi seem to be a happy couple. I don't see why Mariko wants to go back to Usagi....unless she REALLY misses him.
No. Their paths were at odds from the very start. Usagi is a wanderer/adventurer. He began this path in order to honor his fallen master, but now continues it because it's his chosen path. Mariko is a traditional house wife with a good man who has stood beside her in her time of greatest need. While Usagi and Mariko have strong feelings for one another, they do not belong together.
In my mind, there's no doubt that Usagi and Tomoe are the perfect match for one another. Not only are their souls and value systems entirely compatible, but so are their lifestyles. I firmly believe that, one day, Tomoe will either leave Noriyuki's service or Usagi will enter into it. The two will end up together, just not necessarily within the pages of the comic. It's more of an ending, once Usagi's grandest adventures (and Stan's comic) come to an end.
I know she's a ninja and he's a samurai but I've always supported the relationship between Usagi and Chizu myself. Its obvious they care for eachother.
You got to admit it was cool to see them kiss all those times.
Mariko is in a good place now and I just couldn't bare see Kenichi killed off. He raised Jotaro, leads Usagi's own village and come on he's like a brother to him. Not a cool loveing brother but the one who has to be responsible all the time and doesn't get all the glory cause he's kind of a stick in the mud. You need characters like that.
"From that day on, this world would be my world. A jungle where it's survival of the fittest, where people act like animals. I had chosen to walk the darkest path in life..."
I think Mariko should be exposed to nuclear radiation, mutate into a gigantic lobster, and devour the entire population of Japan.
Usagi should suddenly go insane, and marry a crab.
Kenichi should try to regain his honor by killing the tokage lizards who attacked him as a child, only to have the villagers discover his skeleton in the morning.
Now Chizu or Mayumi that would work just fine. Though I think Mayumi would actually be a more practical choice. She would settle him down and stop Usagi's endless wanderings. With Chizu he be still on the road but with even more danger than he's used to.
I would still like them to get together again but I guess that all those votes make quite a difference .
If they can't get together then Usagi should enter Lord Noriyuki's service with Tomoe.

Just out of curiosity, how far have you read in Usagi? I remember back when I read the six part "Samurai" story, I thought Kenichi was a total jerk and desperately wanted Usagi and Mariko to get back together. But when you read further, you begin to realize that Kenichi is actually an amazing guy, and you begin to see Usagi's heart turn away from Mariko and towards a variety of other women far better suited to him.
"Samurai" was an amazing story, but Stan has done so much to mature Usagi and his universe beyond that early tale. Usagi's come a long way, baby.

Usagi said he wouldn't serve under Noriyuki or any other lord other than Mifune, but i guess that would be the only way he could be with Tomoe...

That was a long time ago, when he was still on the Warrior's Pilgrimage out of reverence to his fallen lord. Back during the "Circles" storyline, Usagi decided to give up the pilgrimage and return to his village. He resumed his wanderings soon after for entirely different reasons. It's therefore my assumption that Usagi feels his debt to Mifune is repaid (or at least expired) at this point. He seldom even mentions Mifune anymore. Wandering just seems to be the lifestyle he's most comfortable with.

...but...uh...that's just me.
lol, I like that, too. Seriously though, I don't want Kenichi to die. However I think Usagi has the best chemistry with Mariko. No matter how hard I try, I can't see Usagi and Tomoe as a couple.
I think poor Kenichi gets a bad rap. This character is amazing and I would love to see him explored more. He raised a son that he knows is not his. He allows his son to travel around with his real father. That must have been really hard on the guy.
I would love to see Kenichi and Usagi have a talk about Jotaro.
