There will be an auction for "Have lunch (and a drawing) with Stan", as there was last year. Proceeds will go to Heroes Initiative, the charity that helps older cartoonists that never had retirement or medical benefits. I'll post a link once it is set up.

I got back from MegaCon last night. Thank you to all the Dojo members who were there. Special thanks to Amy and (her sister) Melissa for the wonderful artwork, to those that bought stuff from me (making it a successful con), and to John H for taking me out to dinner, to the airport, and even back to Los Angeles. Okay, so he was flying back anyway.
I got a lot of work done. I thumbnailed UY 113 on the flight over, got halfway though inking the cover for 115, wrote UY 114, and, on the flight back, thumbnailed 114.
I had a nice lunch with the Hero Initiative winner who requested a drawing of Witchblade. I also drew on a duck, and got the blank covered Hulk comics to draw on for another auction.
I also received very nice sketchbook drawings of Usagi from Mark Texeira and Ethan Van Sciver.
Sunday's Humor in Comics with Amanda Connor, Tone Rodrigues, and myself went well. I don't know about the audience, but I enjoyed it.

We thoroughly enjoyed Megacon and could watch all the artists draw for hours!
The panel with Stan, Amanda and Tone, was most entertaining despite embarrassing myself by brandishing my bluetooth keyboard for the panel!
Great times and we are looking forward to going to another Con sometime.

I don't live in hope but a little village near there.

They scheduled Amanda Connor, Tone Rodriguez, and me on a "Humor in Comics" panel. We have all done humorous comics, but none of us is particularly known for it. We pretty much just talked about stuff. It helped that we have all known each other for years. We three enjoyed it.Kez wrote:
