Hiyeeeeeeeeeeeee! I'm Sy, just Sy, and I love Usagi!
Okay, I love most rabbits, but Usagi is my favorite! I kid you not!

I live in a small city in Iowa, it's very smelly here, and snowy too! I've been reading my brother's usagi comics for a long time, we are avid supporters of Dark Horse.

Right now we too are venturing into the world of comic making, and I hope we do as good as our man Stan does, but who can say? Ours is set in the future with animal like alien people too, but I'm sorry to say the animals are more robert crumb inspired by look and overall content of their characters. STILL! NO ONE BEATS USAGI, Don't beleive me? Well go ahead and ask me then, I'll tell ya! :P
Do you like Sushi? :D

well, i'm afraid i can't allow myself to be the one to break this thread, even if i AM tempted to vamoose and come back in 5 and a half years! :P

As it is, i'll be 24 this year, and, hopefully, also finish my degree in French and Portuguese come the summer. When time allows, I have been known to undertake freelance translation work.

I'm Half English, Half Uruguayan, and spend most of my time lost somewhere in the middle (when it's up to me then that would be Brazil! ), but right now it's the UK.

I first came across Usagi a couple of years ago at a comic con, spotting as i did Book 2 of the Fantagraphics edition of Usagi. At the bargain price it was, i simply HAD to pick it up, only to later kick myself repeatedly when i finished the book in the evening and feared i'd not see any of the other books again! One month later i was first in the queue at the comic mart, and practically pounced on the poor chap who'd sold me Bk2 the previous month, demanding more Usagi! Since then Usagi has been quite possibly one of the most entertaining reads I've happened across. Hopefully an influx of cash late in the year will allow me to expand my collection! Thanks for a great read Stan!

As far as my other interests are concerned, I'm a bit of a gaming man. Playing aside, I like to know what and how games are being made, the driving forces that make them (all the behind the scenes and concept art), and also, increasingly, the effect that the gaming industry is having on society, both socially and psychologically. People's moral values, their reactions and what influences them is something that I like to link into the above and which, i suppose, also explains my other two pastimes, which are comics (which i consider very important as a moral grounding and a positive influence for kids; mostly Marvel in my case, although lately they've veered off) and film. An odd approach for my interest perhaps, but it keeps me entertained!

Comicwise, aside from Usagi, i'm currently into 100 Bullets, the superb title by Risso and Azzarello, and am also a big Bendis fan, whether more of his Daredevil or Ultimate Spider-man though I am undecided. Bruce Jones' Hulk was interesting and Straczynski's work is asomething i've been reading the last couple of years also as i veer away from marvel mainstream (ok, he's doing spidey, but c'est la vie). I very much enjoyed his Midnight Nation story though, and am still hoping Rising Stars will one day finish! :?

Some of my favourite films:
Gattaca - Astounding film, both visually and storywise, certainly a film i'd recommended to anyone!
Usual Suspects - just a Bryan Singer i guess
The Godfather trilogy - post-war America just has so many interesting facets to its society, and the traditional role of the family, more feudalistic than modern, is simply fascinating and utterly captivating.
Abre Los Ojos - simply for being a mindbending roadtrip into the incomprehensible! :P
And I've recently had the joy of watching all the episodes of Cowboy Bebop, and i must say, this is quite possibly one of the freshest and most original pieces of work i've seen in years. And by far the best dubbing, although i personally still prefer the japanese with subtitles.

In any case, i must stop now or i'll bore you all to death!

Heya all. My name is Joshua Ford, I'm twenty-five, I live in the San Francisco Bay Area (Palo Alto to be exact), and I've been a Usagi fan for over fourteen years.

My first encounter with Usagi was watching the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cartoon series (I want to see the new Usagi and TMNT cross-over), and when I saw that the white rabbit had his own comic series I snatched it up. I was instantly hooked with comic number one (I'll never forget the opening duel between Gunichi and Usagi).

Usagi made me a chanbara cinema enthusiast, and as a consequence, I simply can't wait for Takeshi Kitano's rendition of Zatoichi.

As far as anime goes, I pretty much only enjoy Lupin, Giant Robo, Cowboy Bebop, and Robotech/Macross.

Miyazaki is a force unto himself, so I don’t include him in that list.

Top films: Empire Strikes Back, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Pirates of the Caribbean, Ravenous, and Spirited Away.

Top TV: Dave Chappelle’s Show, Red Dwarf, Blackadder, and Family Guy.

I’m also a gamer. I play both tabletop games, and video games (save for sports and rhythm-dance).

I’m currently trying to break into the video game industry.

My favorite comics are Usagi (of course), and Penny Arcade.
