Here was something I was thinking about while reading my Scud Omnibus the other day: when the original series ran, Schrab would include a suggested soundtrack for the comic as well a suggested voice list. It was often amusing to imagine certain songs playing for certain bits of action within or to imagine certain characters with certain voices.
My question is, do any of you like to listen to special music while you read Usagi? Is there something that you listen to that helps you get excited for the read or do you put on something in the background to help you settle down with the book?
Also, does anyone read characters with particular voices or accents in their head?
Personally I don't. I usually listen to whatever is on in the background at the time, but I'm interested to hear what others have to say in regards to this.
And over the time I've been reading the book, the characters definitely have their own voices for me. It's something that's evolved over time for the past twenty odd years I've been reading these stories.
Usagi Soundtrack?

yeah, every character has his or her own voice in my mind, i look at the character and make up a voice depending on how i think the character would sound, Usagi has my voice, lol, and in fights i see it all move in my mind, its amazing what we can create, the priest Takuan Soho wrote down the symbol for "dream" just before his body died, what he meant is that when you dream you hear, you taste, you feel, you see, but its not with your body, you create it all with your mind, your soul, reading Usagi Yojimbo or any comic and making it come alive in your mind is just as amazing as dreaming. I love reading outside with the sounds of nature, the birds, the wind.
