lol...yeah surprisingly this Pink's isn't that bad! Normally I'd expect the 'mall version' of an iconic eatery to be terrible...but not so with this one.

As a side note- Camacho's is a pretty good restaurant at the CityWalk.

See ya there!

Just thought I would give this thread a bump and remind anyone who needs reminding that today's Free Comic Book Day. Unfortunately, there's no free UY comic this year, but there's other stuff that will probably be worth picking up:

There are two stores near me that participate in FCBD (only one of them is an actual comic book store). so I get to "double dip" on the free comics!

I picked up a Mouse Guard and a Bongo / Simpsons comic at the local store. The one comic I actually went for was the Oni Press Free for All which has a new Crogan's Adventure story by Chris Schweizer, but the store didn't have any. When I got home, I bought a copy off ebay for a $1 and postage. Oh well, Chris' work is worth it.

Thanks Cynlee,

Awesome pictures:!: I wish I had some of those chili cheese fries.

Cool signature on the plushie too! It looks looks so cute.

I went to our local comic book store and brought my youngest daughter. We went bowling afterwards. What a great day!

Peace, maka

I had pretty good luck finding most of the FCBD stuff I wanted. The only thing I couldn't find was the Del Rey sampler comic book.

Here are more photos of FCBD courtesy of GoGreenMachine. There is even a picture of the case display at TFAW, cynlee, and the back of john h (picture 23).

I signed at the Comics Factory last FCBD, with about 6 other artists. I wonder why they did not have creator signings this year.

On the metro ride to Universal City Walk, Sharon and I met two teams playing The Amazing Race LA. They had to look for a particular star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. I had to tell them they missed their stop. I am a fan of TAR, and had heard about these local events put on by private groups.

New Poster?

Post by go »

Dear Readers,
Is the Usagi in a rain coat poster in the display case something that will be available?
Thank you very much for posting these fun pictures.
Best wishes to all!

The art of Usagi in the rain is the cover for UY Book 24, coming out in July. TFAW found the image on the internet, and blew it up at Kinko's. It was mounted on foam core board. They said they would make one for me, and give it to me at Comic-con as a booth display.
