Well, now I'm the high bidder. I don't expect that'll stand for too long...

Re: FS: Usagi 136 Variant
Does anyone know exactly how many Usagi 136 Variant covers were actually published?

1000 I think, like the variant for 123.

Re: FS: Usagi 136 Variant
I think less than 1000, possibly even significantly less. These were printed based on a certain number of copies ordered by retailers. If a store owner ordered 10 or 25 copies (whatever the number was) they would get a copy of the variant. Most stores only order a few copies of UY and the total print run is generally around 5000-6000 per issue.

Re: FS: Usagi 136 Variant
I believe all the Dark Horse 25th Anniversary variant issues were released as 1:10 incentives for retailers, meaning that for every 10 copies of the regular issue ordered, the store got 1 variant cover issue.
Usagi Yojimbo #136 is listed by both John Jackson Miller's Comichron web-site and the ICv2 web-site as having sales of 5,137, which would suggest somewhere in the neighborhood of 500 variant issues.
According to the same sources, Usagi Yojimbo #135 had sales of 4,683 the month before.
4,683 + 450 = 5133
Personally, I would guess somewhere around 450 copies of the Dark Horse 25th Anniversary Usagi Yojimbo variant cover edition were made available.

I think I have a bunch of these, maybe 75, somewhere. Maybe Daniel can sell them on my website. Ungraded copies, of course.

Wouldn't be a bad idea, ditto if you have any of the #123 variants left as well Stan.

Agreed. I think that they would sell well, esp if signed.Mayhem wrote:Wouldn't be a bad idea, ditto if you have any of the #123 variants left as well Stan.
Unfortunately for me I just bought the #123 off of ebay last night for $15 dollars (finally--I have been watching it forever and finally decided to buy it) but I might be able to be convinced to buy another one if signed!
