Here is a copy of the Official Announcement which was sent out as a mass email to (almost?) everyone registered with the Usagi Yojimbo Dojoboard Forum. I know that some members have not received this message, mainly because I have not personally received it in either of my email addresses registered with the forum. Unfortunate, but not much I can do about it.

The Usagi Yojimbo Dojo 20th Anniversary Special
What we have here is a failure to… OOPS, got distracted there. What we have here is the first Limited Edition Usagi Yojimbo Dojo produced Usagi Yojimbo comic. Created in celebration of the Usagi Yojimbo Dojo’s 20th Anniversary specifically for members of the Usagi Yojimbo Dojo.
This 24 page 5.5” X 8.5” ashcan sized comic is being limited to 150 numbered copies. It is being offered for free to any Dojo member (limit 1 per member) who requests while supplies last.
Postage is the sole responsibility of the Dojo member requesting the comic. If you would like to pick up your copy directly from Stan Sakai at an upcoming convention or signing, please let us know so we can make the arrangements.
Why did I pick these particular stories to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Usagi Yojimbo Dojo and what is so special about them?
One easy answer would be because they are extremely fun stories, and as such deserve to be brought back out for our enjoyment. If you take everything else away, fun is at the heart of what most people desire since it usually is a sure sign of happiness.
Another answer could be necessity. One of these stories has never ever been reprinted in all the years since it was originally published back in 1990. It has been over 25 years since this story appeared and that means a lot of younger fans of Usagi Yojimbo have never had a chance to read it.
When we think about the Usagi Yojimbo Dojo celebrating such a milestone anniversary, we want to look to the past, at where it all started. And we also want to look toward the future and what it might hold for the Dojo.
What better way to do this than with an anniversary comic that contains not one but two stories which bridge that gulf between past and future?
Add some appropriate front and back cover art and a new introduction featuring Usagi and Stan, and we have an anniversary special which I hope is as much fun for everybody as it was for me to put together.
