This is intended for Stan himself, not that I mind anyone else reading it!

Stan, I'm putting together a Memory Book for all those who were in Rowrbrazzle. As you were in issues 25-59, I'd like to make sure you're invited. If you see this, please contact me at edd(at)speakeasy(dot)net for your invitation.

And if anyone else is interested in hearing about what Rowrbrazzle is, or knows what it is and wants to join up, there are immediate openings in the membership! Was that 34 consecutive issues (at 2 pages apiece) or a lessor amount of miscellaneous issues that ran between issue 25 and 59?

Most likely I'm mistaken, but I was under the impression that only a dozen or so pages (or installments) were made to the 10 Little Critters story in Rowrbrazzle.

I don't have my Brazzles in front of me, so I can't say exactly how many pages Stan had, but he was a member for all those issues, which means he contributed at least 2 pages every other issue. at the very least (for those who don't know, that's called 'minac', for 'minimum activity'). I have the impression that he did more than minac. "Ten Little Critters" was in quite a few of his contributions, but I believe he contributed a number of other sketches and ministories early on and started TLC later on.

Hi Edd,

Jed Martinez sent me the details for the Rowrbrazzle project. Unfortunately, I'm sorely behind all my deadlines, and will not be able to participate.

Steve, I believe there were a total of 10 pages of Ten Little Critters published. Barely enough pages for even one of them to be murdered. The Rowbrazzle pages was a rough draft of a proposed 48 page story. It was, of course, inspired by Agatha Christie's Ten Little Indians or And Then There Were None.

Thank you, Stan and Edd, for both of your replies to my inquiry. Unfortunately, now I'm curious as to what the "Non-10 Little Critters" material might have consisted of.

"Ten Little Critters" was in quite a few of his contributions, but I believe he contributed a number of other sketches and ministories early on and started TLC later on.

Are any of these Rowrbrazzle "Ministories" available for sharing/posting on the Dojo web-site? I, for one, would really enjoy seeing some rare early sketches and projects which were originally available only to other members of Rowrbrazzle.

I, personally, would love to see 10 Little Critters finished and released as a comic or graphic novel, but with Stan's busy schedule and his previously mentioned desire to touch-up or re-draw some or possibly all of the Rowrbrazzle published pages of the story, it will probably be a long wait before it sees print.

A few images from the story have made their way onto the Dojo web-site and into the forum here. It would definitely have to be Stan's call on whether whole pages were posted to the web-site or not.

Would it be possible to get a bibliography of Stan's work which was published through Rowrbrazzle? (i.e. date, issue, story/contribution title or description)

We also would love hearing any anecdotes which might relate to when Stan was contributing to Rowrbrazzle

I could put together a bibliography, so long as Stan had no problem with it. And I agree that finally seeing a complete "Ten Little Critters" would be way nice to see. But we couldn't ask Stan to set aside his bread-n-butter to focus on a new character.

Hmm, wonder if he would have time to supply a plotline, maybe even roughs, to an artist of his choosing to finish?

For those of you unfamiliar with Ten Little Critters: Ten investigative journalists, including Terry Miyamoto (descendant of Usagi), are lured to a remote island with the promise of an exclusive story. They are ferried over and will stay in a mansion built by an eccentric millionaire. In the drawing room, they find their most famous headlines taped to a wall. The journalists begin to die in accordance to the stories they wrote: the one who wrote an expose about the cigarette industry dies of nicotine poisoning, and one who wrote about aids gets an Kool-Aid transfusion. After each death, their headline is defaced with the number "30". Of course, the killer is one of them.

Stan mentioned once, years ago in an interview, of doing something like that with Space Usagi; having other artists and/or writers take over the work after the initial story was completed. That was back when a TV series was looking pretty much guaranteed, and an ongoing Space Usagi series would have been expected.

!0 Little Critters really reminds me of the one issue of Shanda the Panda which I own (You know, the issue Stan did the cover of). That series is/was drawn by Michael Curtis. Carole Curtis (any relation?) does Katmandu, which is also of a somewhat similar style. Ken Mitchrooney (Space Ark) would be an interesting choice.

I sent Edd an email to ask about the bibliography of Stan's Rowrbrazzle contributions today. Hopefully, I will hear back from him and be able to give some positive news.
