Remember Comic-con hotel reservations go on sale Wednesday, March 9 at 9 AM Pacific Time. That is tomorrow, as I am writing this.

I just booked mine at 9am. Submitted the request at 9:05 (took awhile to fill out the form). I placed 14 hotels in order of preference. It was surprisingly easy and the page was accessible, no problems. The only issue is I think I put Tuesday July 19 as my check in date when it is actually going to be Wednesday the 20th. Probably not a big deal. Now I got my fingers crossed....anyone else book their hotels through the con page?

You should be able to change the dates later on anyhow once you have confirmation that you've been assigned a hotel; they screwed up both my checking in AND out dates last year, and I was able to alter them online before the one night deposit was taken.

I just got my confirmation of receipt...whew...feel better knowing it went through. Now, if only I can get one of the top 5 I picked!!!! I also see that I booked the 20th-24, and not 19-24 as I thought....feeling good

So this does work...sort of. I ended up getting my #2 choice, the Marriott Marquis, but ended up with a premuim room rate versus the starting con rate. Going to try and change it. Otherwise, no biggie...it's the closest you can pretty much get to the con.

I didn't even get a chance to do anything. The one I might have gotten through a fellow teacher was only for Friday and Saturday-- and I didn't want to try to switch. Then, it was all closed! So I've got passes but no place to stay. I do NOT want to commute, so I guess I'll have to keep lurking the sites hoping for cancellations.
