There'll probably be all SORTS of plot developments between #105-#109 explaining this image, but for now, here are five possible scenarios:

- Gen has been possessed by Jei, and Stan simply chose not to show it on the cover.

- Usagi has been possessed by Jei, and (again) Stan simply chose not to show it on the cover.

- Gen thinks that Usagi is possessed by Jei, when the truth actually lies elsewhere.

- Somebody's stuck a bounty on Usagi's head that makes Inazuma's look like bus fare.

- Usagi's snooty samurai attitude has finally pushed Gen over the edge. From #110 onwards, the series will be called GEN YOJIMBO.

Maybe we will find out that Gen has been an assassin all this time, dispatched by Hikiji to kill Usagi. And he has now finally decided to make his move..

Gen is drugged and hallucinating. He thinks he's fighting an enemy when in truth he is fighting Usagi....who is trying not to hurt his friend of course.

I wonder why Usagi always falls for that...
