Which HC's have unsigned versions?

Post by JohnnyRnR »

Please forgive me if this is a noob question, or covered somewhere obvious, but I recently saw a few of the HC's (don't recall exactly which, I think they were in the teens) which were not S/N versions. Are there unsigned versions for each volume? If not all, which? Is there a way to tell the difference if they are shrinkwrapped (SRP or anything)?

And Mr. Sakai, if you read this, it was an honor and a privilege to meet you (sort of again) at SDCC this year. (I say again because I briefly met you at your Dark Horse booth signing in 2005, where even though it was a fast paced signing, you whipped through a killer sketch in my sketchbook that I love to show off to friends.)

Some of the Fantagraphics HCs had some unsigned copies floating around. I have a few unsigned copies of numbers 1 and 5, but there may have been other books as well. I'm not sure how these came about. There were certainly enough signature plates.

I believe there were only a couple dozen or so of these unsigned books.

I have an unsigned version of Volume 5. It's a curiosity, to be certain.
