Yes, the videos are great! After all this time I don't think I have ever seen a video of Stan Sakai sketching or talking. Very interesting stuff.
Mr Sakai,
What kind of inks are the "Artist" inks you used in the interview? It appeared that you could ink over that badger black opaque in a short time without it bleeding. I like watercolors but the cheap V5 pen I use always bleeds. Argh!
Also, Usagi Dojo France looks great!! I like the interactivity!

Unfortunately, I don't believe Artist Colors are still on the market. As I said in the interview, companies are notorious about discontinuing a product you particularly like so stock up when you can. It happened with my pens, my inks, those pen/brushes that I use in the interview, and Artist Colors. AC was a pigmented "ink", much like watercolors, making it lightfast and permanent. It also reproduced well. Some coloring systems do not photograph well--that is a red with print as brown.Tinlantern wrote:

The Hulk #1 cover I recently drew was colored with AC.
Make sure the ink you use is waterproof. You might try erasing over the line art before coloring. That might take some of the excess ink off the paper.

Thanks, it took me time to manage all those videos, i find the video wall quite amusing. Unfortunately, the video i made at Japan expo (frog signing) is definitely lost...Stan Sakai wrote:Very nice. I have not gone through everything, but I am very impress. I have not seen so many of my cover art at one time. Those video clips are fun.
The photos of my trip to France are my favorite.
I am glad you like so much my photos of the trips. Even if it is not new, it is always good to hear

Thanks, i tried to handle the User maps for UY.com but i did not find a solution. I sent the code of the video wall to Todd if he wants to update U.Y.com homepage. Also, Usagi Dojo France looks great!! I like the interactivity!
