Ok, it's somewhat of a mystery. Mostly, cuz I want to figure out what comic/poster/ad it may be a replica of.
So, anyways, I copied/traced/drew this back around 1986 with pencil possibly as late as 1988. I have no artistic ability at all, but, at the time I loved UY and TMNT (I did a pic of Michaelangelo in the same way - I think he was my fave cuz he had nunchaku like Bruce Lee) and decided to 'draw' Miyamoto Usagi. I still love both though UY is first over TMNT.
I recently retrieved this from my dad's house where it's been for around 20 yrs. as you can see from the yellowed paper caught on the scan. I'll probably add a B&W scan which makes it look inked as well.
If anyone can figure out the source and post your thoughts that'd be great! Domo arigato!!

not sure
I posted the two pics on two different sites hence the 4 links. Is anyone able to view the pics? Cuz I can't tell since I'm signed into those sites and see them. Any hints on posting pics in messages here on the board?
Thanks,
Sean
Thanks,

Source art is this one from 1985

Displayed proudly on the History of UY page for about 11 years now...a great vintage piece.

The image itself is from the very first Usagi/TMNT crossover, a pinup done by Stan in Donatello #1.

In order to post images directly into a post, the image source must point to an actual file (JPEG or GIF). You tried to link what appears to be code-generated stuff which won't display when linking via HTML on phpBB.
You did everything right, the only problem was the link itself. For example, a good link would look like the one I posted above: http://usagiyojimbo.com/intro/uyhistory/uyold13.gif

Thanks a bunch Todd! I knew someone would come through and it's not a surprise it was you.
On another note this is kind of an answer to a question you posed on a different topic about 'Is this site helpful/useful?' something like that. To answer that I think the site is extremely helpful to pretty much any fan that comes to it. Most people (myself included) haven't extensively searched the entire site. Maybe it's lack of time, the vast amounts of stuff or just a bit of laziness when others may know the answer. Maybe it's people wanting interaction on the forum that brings them back so they spend less time searching the content. Who knows? Just be happy that it's such an active place for UY enthusiasts.

For clarification
To clarify something from my first post I am pretty sure I didn't trace it. Mainly cuz the pic I did is on a full size piece of paper and the original was on a half page or smaller. Another clue is that I erased a lot of mistakes and ripped the paper during an erase ( I subsequently taped it from the back.) *sigh* Wow, the good old days.

Hey thanks for the feedback on the Dojo. It has basically had the same format for quite awhile now and there are no plans to change it (what a monumental task that would be -- we never fully completed the conversion from the old site). I tend to go with what works...if it ain't broke why fix it mentality.
