Well hopefully I'll have my badge by then and can STILL get into the room.

Oh yeah, you'll be getting daily ones... Kris and I will be fighting to get to Town & Country a few miles north on Wednesday to get our four day passes...

Well it figures-- I want to see the Larry Marder one that is from 1:30 to 2:30 in a room that will be, if memory serves, far from the Sergio and Stan one at 2:30! And remembering the past, and how the Convention staff packs rooms regardless to keep the lines down, I will probably not be able to get into the second one unless I skip the first.

OR I could get lucky this year. Regardless, if they do the picture afterwards, I'll just hang around the exit and hope for the best.

I will be signing at Dark Horse Friday morning 10-11. I prefer the early morning, so it does not break up the day at my booth.

I don't know what UY freebies, if any, DH has planned.

Oooh, if someone could help me out getting any Usagi related freebies from the Dark Horse signing, i would be really happy and thankful. :D

I am not sure if Chris Schweizer of the Crogan's Adventures series (and S.C.A.D.) will be attending San Diego, but if he is, I sure would love to get any Crogan's Adventures promotional material (or even a print or poster if available), if possible from the Oni Press booth. I will reimburse any costs.

I really hope that nobody here who's going to SDCC (I'm not attending) has any encounters with members of a certain vile group whose name I don't even like to mention that I really wish would just go away. If you do, the best the course of action would probably be "don't feed the trolls."

Thankfully, according to this, they're only going to be out there from about 1:15 to 2 pm on Thursday, so, hopefully, they won't cause too much trouble.

You know what those crowds are like outside-- that "certain" group will be swallowed up and lost, provided the press doesn't decide to give them coverage.

Besides, it's my understanding they're squeezing in Comic-Con because they'll be down the street earlier protesting Al Gore. I guess they don't like crazed sex poodles either.

Neil Gaiman posted a link to this on Twitter:

http://phelps-a-thon.com/sdcc.html
We are hosting a Phelps-A-Thon to counter Fred Phelps’ hateful message. For every minute the “God Hates F**s” clan is protesting, we will be collecting donations to benefit the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund and The Hero Initiative. (Comic Book Legal Defense Fund is a non-profit organization dedicated to the protection of the First Amendment rights of the comics art form and its community of retailers, creators, publishers, librarians, and readers. The Hero Initiative is a not-for-profit corporation dedicated strictly to helping comic book creators in need. Hero creates a financial safety net for yesterdays' creators who may need emergency medical aid, financial support for essentials of life, and an avenue back into paying work.)
It sounds like if anyone attending SDCC wants to do something positive in response to these idiots, this is probably a good choice.

I viewed the protest from the upper level just outside Ballroom 20, even video taped some of it. You can tell it was crashed by anti-protesters by the variety of signs being wielded. Some were simply hilarious. The protesters were made fools of that's for sure. The spectacle merely provided even more entertainment for the mob of attendees. You can't help but feel sorry for the protesters to some degree but at the same time it provided a few laughs.
