I don't think I will have a table. I have a lot of work, and don't want to be stuck in the dealers' room all day. However, I can bring whatever you want--artwork, a particular book, an Usagi stuffie, etc. I don't know what my schedule for panels will be, but I should be fairly accessible.pl212 wrote:Hi Stan, I was wondering what will you be selling there?
Thanks !
This is their first convention, so I don't think it will be particularly crowded.
Ok sounds good, I want to know the prices for some HC if you still have any and art.Can you pm me with that info.Stan Sakai wrote:I don't think I will have a table. I'm back from Antheria. It was a very small con--about 300 paid attendees, and no Dojo members that I was aware of. I normally would not have agreed to a convention this new and this small, but the organizers are friends. However, I did have a terrific time, and I'm glad I did go.
I got a lot of work done. I finished inking the first 13 pages of UY 134, and pencilled two more pages. The inking was more than half done before I got there, but the blacks needed to be spotted and the textures added in.
I did three presentations, but most the time was working in my room. The organizers took the guests and super sponsors on a yacht cruise in Marina Del Rey, which was a very nice way to cap off the weekend.
The worse part of the weekend was eating dinner at the Blue Water Grill, an upscale restaurant with prices to match. Daughter Hannah's prime rib was burnt. My paella was pretty tasteless (and it is one of their specialties). Hannah even sent her creme brulee dessert back.
I got home last night, lettered 2 Spidey Sundays and did corrections on those 13 Usagi pages then FedEx-ed them off this morning.
