U Y found treasures.

Post by Effieson »

I found a box in my closet. You see I use to take Aikido back in the 80's. My Sensei & students would give me U J gifts. I have the very 1st issues, Fantagraphics 1986 No. 1 thru 25. Book One,Two,Three, soft cover 1986. Book Four Hard cover 1990, The Dragon Bellow Conspiracy, signed #363 of 1500, & Color Special No. 1 ,1989. I also have the action figure of U J and it is exactly like the one shown here under Action Figure old version & still packaged. The last thing is a t-shirt size lg. grey w/ U J holding his sword in the air & tanto in the other down at his side. He has armour red & blue ond logo is Sakai 1991. I would really like this group of treasures to go to 1 individual that will give this collection the respect it deserves. Everything is mint and I'd like it to stay that way. I am considering E-Bay but would be open to another suggestion. I really don't want it to go so high that the true U Y fans can't afford it. I also don't want to give it away. What to do ?

Personally I don't think you'd have a problem with non-dedicated UY fans purchasing your collection on e-Bay. Usually the die hard fans are the ones who drive up the auctions! If you were to package it all up and ask about 10-15% higher than what you paid for all of it, I doubt you'll get speculators or what not trying to buy. Try packaging it up as a UY starter package. If you need help I can even send out your list to the entiure UY Dojo via email. Just email me your complete collection as a listing and what you'd consider selling it for. We've done this in the past and it works well. If not, there's always eBay.

This sounds too good to be real. Is the offer still actual?

Yes I still have the collection. I am trying to get photos of everything to veiw for all. I'd like to send them to Todd Shoun to post onthe UY Dojo. I also am going to check out the 2 Ebay stores we have here , because I don't know how to sell on Ebay. One is called EZ Auction & the other is EZ Bayer. They are suppose to do it for you for a commision. I should have one or the other done by next week . Thanks for your interest .

You can email me the images and I will set up a link that Dojo Members can visit. Don't forget to include your contact info. I'll also send out an email if you'd like.
