Usagi Yojimbo Hardcovers (and Space Usagi) question

I'm considering finishing off my Usagi TPB collection with hardcovers. I was just wondering:

1. ) Do all of the UY HC's (the series and Space Usagi) come signed, and with a sketch?


2. ) Are the HC's any different from the paperbacks in terms of the content? (any extra's)

3. ) And what does the sketch look like? (are they all the same?)

I've always wondered whether the hardcovers come in the same dimensions as the softcovers, myself.

Yes, they all come signed with a sketch, but Stan no longer draws full sketches. Now they are headshots. I believe he stopped doing that after Grasscutter. I don't own all of the tpb's, but I do have the HC's and the interior pages seem to be the same size and the HC's themselves are just a tiny bit larger.

I know Steve has answered this before, but I'm not sure where that thread is. I just found out that "Hebi" is collected in two different books.

3. ) And what does the sketch look like? (are they all the same?)

The sketches varied from book to book. At one point in time I owned a copy of Dragon Bellow Conspiracy that had an Usagi with spear and ended up getting a cleaner copy that had Usagi with two swords. (my favorite story )

Apparently, the Dark Horse Volumes have the same content for the most part. There are some endpapers (not sure of the term) which contain previously unpublished artwork, such as the 4 pages of illustrations of Usagi and Jotaro included in "Travels with Jotaro".

Not all hardcovers are signed and numbered. Most are signed and numbered but be sure to confirm that the issues you are purchasing come "signed and numbered." I bought book 5 "Lone Goat and Kid" hardcover direct from Fantagraphics for $25 and it was unsigned. I also picked up book 8 "Shades of Death" hardcover at a comic book store that was also unsigned. I don't know how many books are produced over the intended limited run but clear some are. Fortunately Stan has signed and sketched my unsigned copies at Comic Con.[/u]

Sorry for the misinformation. I thought all the DH hardcovers that weren't numbered were at least signed AP's.

I purchased the Fathers and Sons hardcover on eBay. It should come tomorrow.
