That is a very cool drawing!

By the way, if you can, check out the six subtitled Lone Wolf and Cub films, they are sooo much better than the spliced together and dubbed version.

Hi guys, thanks so much for the feedback...I use neo piko markers for stuff like the lines you see in the sky so up there where it gets patchy the pen ran out of ink! Doh! Oh, well. I don't have much online...we just moved to Vermont for the Center for Cartoon Studies.

If it's O.K. I'll post a link to my LiveJournal and web-site :)

Steve, I'll definately check out those Lone Wolf and Cub movies a.s.a.p. We have movie nights at school where several of us get together...I think someone said they had those! AWESOME! 8)

Isn't that where James Sturm is at? He contacted me a couple of years ago, asking permission to use that "How I Create Usagi" as part of a course curriculum. My fee for usage was a signed copy his Golem's Mighty Swing, which he sent to me right away. I also read that one of the students there recently received a Xeric Grant from Peter Laird's foundation.

I recognize his name from the Fantastic Four "Unstable Molecules" mini-series.

PS
This would be another perfect piece of fan art to be published on the inside back cover / letter page of Usagi Yojimbo. (hint hint)

Yes, James is here! It's so wierd to call him James but I was repremanded for calling him 'Mr. Sturm'. ha ha. I've yet to see 'How I Create Usagi' but it makes me excited that it's a part of the curriculum! Our first day of classes is today so allot of how the course is taught is still mystery but if Usagi is involved it's gotta be great! The student who won the Xeric Grant is Alexis Frederick-Frost, I actually just met him last night...speaking of Peter Laird, we're actually supposed to take a trip to Mirage which is only an hour or so away! It's like living in a dream!

If anyone wants more info on the school the web-site is www.cartoonstudies.org or please feel free to send me a message or email and I'd be glad to answer any questions. Also, you can order a copy of the new school book with tons of great info beautifully drawn by Kevin Huizenga!

Thanks again for the comments on the drawing. It needs cleaning up I just haven't had time! :)

I did not realize you were so close to Northampton. I don't go there often, but the next time I do I'll try to drop in on the school. Say "Hi" to Peter for me. He's a terrific person, as are all the guys who work at Mirage.

!!! That would be awesome! I think we're about an hour away from there so it's a little drive but it's such a cool place, it'd be worth it! :)
