At 8.25% the potential tax on that purchase is more than I have ever paid for a single comic. 
It is nice to see an issue of Albedo go for that much in an auction that started without a reserve price

I thought I had posted my story here before. I once got two of the #2's in a stack of comics after a garage sale for zero bucks. They seriously gave them to me. I even knocked on the door to pay.
I found the #2 website and posted the for sale. I sold both copies for like $250 or $300 back in the early nineties. One to an older Asian dude in Los Angeles and one to a military guy serving in Italy I think. I should have kept 'em. Wow. I still have some of the older ones like the prototype issue. Not nearly as sought after.
Wow. I'm going garage saleing this weekend.
