Movie Review: Shooter

Post by Todd Shogun »

I just caught an advanced screening of Shooter. Not a bad flick, just not a perfect one. I have to admit, it kept me entertained throughout, with it's twisting plotline and interesting characters. The only flaws are it's Ramboesque feel (Mark Wahlberg = Rambo) and in-your-face "the government is evil" stuff. Otherwise, I highly recommend it. Be warned, extreme violence awaits. Lots of point-blank gun shots to the face and intense sniper and machine gun action.

This Saturday I'll be at the Hollywood premiere of TMNT (thanks to Stan). Let you all know how it is.

I am not going to be able to see it until I get back from Japan.

It is officially coming out the day I leave for Japan. And we leave too early in the morning to catch even the first show.

Well Japan ain't so bad either! I'll let you know how the movie is. I wonder which celebrities will be there. Or if Kevin Eastman will make an appearance (or even Peter, but doubtful). Stan is "the man" for making this happen. I'm bringing my camera and taking pics. I'll try and take pics inside the theater too, but no guarantees due to the ban on cameras in theaters nowadays.

Did you see the other thread on the original art for TMNT #1 up on eBay, supposedly for sale by Kevin Eastman? A very strange thing that has me confused. Maybe you know more about it since you actually know Kevin on a personal basis. If it is for real, I am VERY envious of the person who will eventually win it...Assuming there are even any takers (reserve not met at $50K, well beyond my budget!).
