Dear Readers,
I just got a copy of the German "Manga sZene #11" via eBay.
The magazine includes an overall discussion of Usagi, an interview with Stan Sakai, and 8 pages of Usagi ("Schlachtfeld") all in German (of course!). The magazine is printed on very nice paper and the overall presentation is great. The excellent cover is Usagi and a lizard (EEP!) both in battle armor on a devistated battle field with several skulls, crows, death, destruction, etc., etc.
My question is, where did this picture originally occur? Did Stan make this especially for this magazine? Also is this magazine represented in the Dojo website?
I have a 48k jpeg of the cover if you are interested for the website.
Thank you for all of the fun!
Best wishes,
go

This piece of art, colored by Tom Luth, was made especially for this German publication. I don't remember if I ever got copies of it, though I do have the art. I had met the Manga sZene editors at a San Diego Con a few years ago, and they contacted me via my German publisher a couple of years ago when they wanted to do an Usagi cover-feature.
Since we're on the subject of Usagi interviews--I was interviewed by the Pasadena Weekly yesterday. It's a free tabloid-size newspaper, and my interview should run sometime in mid-August.
