Has anyone noticed that Usagi and most animals in the Comic only have two toes a foot

. I wonder why...

Usagi, and most other characters, wear two-toed socks. You can see the tops of his socks when his leg protrudes from this hakama pants.

They are two-toed to accommodate the waraji sandals, which has a strap that goes between the big toe and the others.

Without his socks, Usagi as four toes like all of us do.

What does Stan mean by

That means that most of us are freaks because we have 5 toes on each foot

This thread has made me burst out laughing at work.
I dont have a private office and share a large workspace with 4 other people. They all wanted to know what I was laughing at.

I think what Sensei is talking about is called "Tabi" -well they are generally worn by Ninja but I guess the socks mentioned have similar shape. By the way I have seen some of the characters wear wooden jandals/ sandals - I thought that was footwear only worn by monks ????
