Looking forawrd to SCCI!
Hello, Mr. Sakai!
I was having trouble keeping track of how many posters were reserved, but if there's one left by chance, I'd love to grab it. ^_^ It's been a pleasure to meet you the last three years, look forward to seeing you again.

Mr. Sakai,
I have just recently started reading Usagi and I would love if you could bring copies of the Fantagraphics trade paperbacks Vols. 3-7. Also, if there are any posters left than I would love to have one. Thank you for being so considerate as to ask what we, the fans, would want you to bring. It is very much appreciated. Thanks.

The posters are all taken now. Stuart, usually a couple of aisles over from me, got the last one.
I'll also have those French postcards. I'll be taking them out periodically, one design at a time. However, Dojo members can have a complete set of 4. Just identify yourself and ask for it. Of course this offer is only good while supplies last.

Hi all! I'm a new member here...have only posted a couple of times a few months back when I was asking for advice on the UY TPBs. Since then, I've dug into the UY books and LOVE them!
It looks like I just missed out on reserving one of the posters, but the reason I wanted to post today is to see if there is still time to request a commission to pick up at San Diego. I'm here right now visiting family and waiting (impatiently) until the convention starts next week. I'm doing all of the internet research I can to prepare myself and saw here that I might be able to pick up an original piece and I'm so excited!
If there is still time, I would love to request something with Usagi and Gen relaxing over sake (which Gen finds a way not to pay for, of course
). Those scenes are always my favorite...the two of them battling all day and then finding a place to rest and sharing a meal and a drink together. I'd love to have something like that to hang in my new office. If it's too late for requests, that's ok...I'm sure I'll find something nice at the booth in any case.
Anyway, thanks Sakai-san for all of the fantastic UY entertainment you have provided me over the last few months. I'm really enjoying it and can't wait to see you next week to tell you the same in person!

Thanks morna-san for the reply and the welcome! I am keeping my fingers crossed that this commission happens, and I'm glad I'm not the only one that enjoys those fun Gen/Usagi moments. Those are the times that everything feels so real to me...the action, adventure, battles, etc. are INCREDIBLE in UY, but the rest that is shown just makes the UY world one that I love to escape intomorna-san wrote:Hi Brandon! I hope Stan has time to make your commission 'cause I really want to see it! It sounds like a great idea. I love those Gen/Usagi moments too - especially when Usagi is teasing Gen. If you do get it please post an image.
... and Welcome!

If the commission happens, I'll definitely post a scan!

I got an e-mail and I have to assume Todd meant for you to have one as well. Here are the salient points:madman31 wrote:There was mention in another thread about a UY gathering at San Diego. Is the info on that readily available?
Thanks!

Friday 2:30-3:00PM - UY Dojo Usagi-fan get-together, right after Stan's signing at the Dark Horse pavilion
...
We decided to try something different this year and hold the UY Dojo get together at the Dark Horse Comics pavilion instead of Stan's booth. The con floor is getting more and more congested each year, and despite efforts by Comic-Con to alleviate this problem by capping off admission (notice that 4-day badges are currently sold out), it still manages to get very crowded, too crowded to facilitate the get-together.
All Usagi fans are invited to attend the get-together, where fans can meet one another, hang out with Stan and take a few pics for the website. There may even be a surprise or two, who knows? Smile
So remember, 2:30PM sharp, at the Dark Horse Pavilion. Also, don't forget to wear your UY Dojo T-shirt! If you plan to attend, please notify us at sdcc@usagiyojimbo.com so we can put you on the roster....

I just received a few of the 2004 Anthrocon t-shirts--the one with the young Usagi and Tokage design. I'll bring them down to San Diego. I only have large, x-large, 2x, and 3x sizes.
