Premios, premios, premios
Mejor artista
Jaime Hernandez, por Love & Rockets (Fantagraphics Books, publicado en España por La Cúpula)
Mejor anología o colección
Curses, de Kevin Huizenga (Drawn & Quarterly, publicado en España por La Cúpula como Maldiciones)
Mejor novela gráfica
Don't Go Where I Can't Follow, de Anders Nilsen (Drawn & Quarterly)
Mejor historia
"Felix", de Gabrielle Bell, en Drawn & Quarterly Showcase Vol. 4 (Drawn & Quarterly)
Talento más prometedor
Tom Neely, por The Blot (I Will Destroy You)
Mejor serie
Mourning Star, de Kazimir Strzepek (Bodega Distribution)
Mejor cómic
Optic Nerve #11, de Adrian Tomine (Drawn & Quarterly)
Mejor fanzine (mini-comic)
Gran Premio Saint Michel
Marcel Gotlib

Yes, I am back. I returned late last night. Sharon and I had a wonderful time eating, walking, and eating some more. I'll post a travel report later. I do want to thank Thomas and Mara for coming from Berlin to meet us, and special thanks to Mayhem for showing us around London. No doubt without him, we would have spent half the morning trying to figure out the Victoria Station Metro.
I did receive two Haxturs. That brings the total number to 4 that I received.
I got your post card, Fanfan. Those mountains are incredible. I am sorry to hear that you had gotten ill, but I hope it didn't ruin your trip.

Hello everybody,
even my daughter and me got home safe and sound; I'll not bore you with the details of our return trip, just take it I'm glad that we made it....
Our day in London with Mayhem and the Sakais was great!
My daughter and I met them at 9am at the Hotel the Sakais were staying at. Mara knew we had an appointment to keep, but she had no idea with whom. She didn't recognise Sensei when he came down, and when I tried to give her a hint by making a rabbit's face, her first guess was: "Easter bunny?"
Now, that was soon cleared and when I told her his name, she instantly knew that he was the one who created Usagi and her personal hero, Jotaro. I think that was the first time during our trip that she was truely awestruck; she was even more so when Sensei gave me the commision I'd asked for (see picture below; I'll get it framed and post it here pretty soon). Thank you again, Sensei, for that splendid piece of art; another heirloom to our family
I had to skip some of the sights the other three went to see because after four hours of walking around Mara needed a rest.
So after visiting the Tower and having some traditional Fish'n Chips, we left them at St. Paul's Cathedral and joined the touring tourists
later at Zizzy's to have a pleasant diner. A big thank you goes to Mayhem as well, who showed us all around and made the reservation for our table at this nice restaurant!
Next time our place, ok, Mayhem?!
And although he already had some photos to show what a good time we had, here are some of mine:

Mara's photo of Stan

Mayhem (right) and myself with the commision

The Sakais with Mara, hugging a Beefeater bear

Three Beefeaters, Sharon and Mara

Mayhem, Stan, Sharon, and Mara eating traditional English food

Sensei entertaining us with a table cloth usagi
Last but not least I'd like to thank Sharon Sakai for being so kind and caring to have an eye on Mara, especially at the restaurant. It was well past her bedtime, you know...
