I'd bid if it wasn't for the fact I'm saving all my money for Comic-con. Whether it's worth it or not I've no idea, but I wouldn't mind getting those comics in a lump.

Good luck if you bid.

Well, the high bidder's maximum is approximately $300.

Keep in mind that it is an unbagged and unprotected comic that has sat on a shelf in extremely humid Florida for the past 20+ years. Beyond that, the seller has graded it as "VG to Fine, but 1 or 2 may be in lesser shape".

There is a chance that it could be one of the comics in fine condition since Albedo was printed on a lot better quality paper than the average comic published back in the 1980's and might have survived the conditions better.

The new cover scan posted looks decent, from what you can se, with no obvious damage visible.

Well it's back up in a bidding war with only an hour or so left. Ahh well, it's for the best. I really should pay the electric bill instead :P

I guess estee chickened out or realized no one was gonna outbid him and withdrew the bid somehow. In an earlier post I mentioned I had contacted the seller and he said that it was in 'Fine' condition. So, it was decent. It finished at just under $232 way above book value! Wow.

Haha, well aren't we just the "blower of covers"! Yeah, I didn't want to say anything because I bid before I realized a board member was the original bidder. Sorry estee, I try not to trample on other's auctions. I contacted the seller regarding Steve's post about the state of Florida and what that can do to a book, and he said it is in great shape, and the pic looks good, so hopefully I'm not getting hosed. I always said I'd never pay more than $300 for it, and I think I'll be happy with my purchase. If not we can all point the finger at me and laugh at my misfortune.

It isn't my fault that you were trying to hide behind an "m"

... a real admirer of UY and not some greedy scalper trying to make some bucks.

Congrats for winning that auction; my wife would have flailed me to death for spending that kind of money for a few old comics

Don't feel alone, my fiance will kill me in my sleep if she finds out about this. Thankfully, we aren't married yet and don't have joint credit cards :D

I also hope it is as good as the seller suggests. He told me in a message that it was in great shape and looked as good as any other comic you could expect to find at a shop, so we'll see if he pans out to be true or not. Even if it isn't 100% perfect, then at least it should be, by examination of the picture, good enough for me to be proud to own. I'll let everyone know the condition of her when she arrives.

That's what I say. Shouldn't really matter to a true Usagi fan what condition a copy of Albedo NR 2 is in, as long as it's fully intact...the fact that you own it should be all that matters!
