I just saw Sergio yesterday (Friday) at lunch. I see him at least once a month, ususally at a CAPS (Comic Art Proressionals Society) meeting.
There is a 12 issue Groo series that has been greenlighted by Dark Horse. We're just waiting for Sergio and Mark to get moving on it, but as you know these guys are overworked as it is.

wow that's pretty cool. i like to meet him in the comic con if he's going. so there might be a groo series on darkhorse? or doing back issues. i throught i heard he stop doing it just working on it in mini series or is he doing a mini series of groo on dark horse? i bet he's busy since he draws the little comic strip on mad magazine each month.

Sergio will indeed be at the San Diego Con. This one will be my 25th consecutive SD Con, and he's been going longer than I have. He will have a table in the dealers' room next to Scott Shaw! and Steve Leialoha.gunblade007 wrote: i like to meet him in the comic con if he's going .
Incidentally, if you are planning to stay at one of the con hotels, make your hotel reservations as soon as possible. They're already taking reservations through the con website. Last year, friends who went down thinking they could just book a room somewhere were surprised to find the nearest accomodations they could find was in San Juan Capistrano, about 75 miles away. Also, preregister if you can. The registration line on Saturday morning was about a mile long.

i don't think i'm staying in a hotel we're only going to be there one day. i hope to see alot of people and maybe get my story made into a real comic book series.i know if someone's going to buy it. it's going to be marvel since my story is about aliens with mutant powers who look human and can transform into animals. but i hope to maybe do a cross over with you mr.sakai and maybe with mr.laird too. do you know what other big name comic book company will be in the comic con looking at ideas for comic books? i hope to make my comic book clean for all ages. and i have a question about mr.aragones is dark horse bring back his comic book series groo or are they doing b ack issues. and will mr.aragones do a mini series of groo on dark horse. thanks again. and thank you for your time.

Most of the big comic book publishers will be at San Diego. I don't know about Marvel, though. Marvel chose not to set up a formal booth last year. Each publisher has different rules for portfolio reviews--some have specific hours in which editors will review work, with others you may have to sign up in advance, a couple of years ago DC required all potential artists to attend a panel on portfolio presentations.gunblade007 wrote: do you know what other big name comic book company will be in the comic con looking at ideas for comic books? i hope to make my comic book clean for all ages. and i have a question about mr.aragones is dark horse bring back his comic book series groo or are they doing b ack issues. and will mr.aragones do a mini series of groo on dark horse..
Dark Horse wants to eventually publish all the Groo stories, even the ones that Marvel had collected in their trades. Sergio is contracted to do another Groo series (12 issues, I think). He hasn't had time to start on it yet.
