I just learned that Marvel and a Japanese animation studio called Madhouse are teaming up to create a re-imagining of Marvel stories and characters for a Japanese audience. I like a lot of the stuff Madhouse has done in recent years, like the new Vampire Hunter D movie and the psychological thrillers of Satoshi Kon, so I'm interested to see what they come up with.

Actually DC did do something similiar. 6 Japanese directors and Anime studios made Batman Gotham Knight. I highly recommend it.(now I just have to wait 2 years for Marvels version)

A friend of mine visited Japan last spring and said she saw Usagi and the Ninja Turtles on TV over there, so it's not entirely impossible.Todd Shogun wrote:Can Usagi for a Japanese audience be too far behind....? They got TMNT..or had it right?

I've heard that the show was canceled after the Battle Nexus episodes.
