I think that every single one of these statues look like they jumped right off the page.
Furthermore I think its safe to say if any ever went into production they would be the most sought after Usagi collectibles ever ! I know concept to production is apples and oranges but I guarantee these would be a profitable endeavor. These are just to amazing not to be made available to the public. Please Roel, Stan, Darkhorse get these made !!!

I'm going to raise his flattop a little higher. His staff needs to be a little taller and I might bulk him up just a little more. Oh and he will have an interchangeable left eyebrow and eye patch.Tengu wrote:How does one improve upon perfection?roel wrote:I'm still not too happy with it. It needs one more revision and then I think I'll be able to let it go. It's almost there. Just needs a little bit more love.

Your observations are correct Steve. That's all going to change. The feet are larger and the hand is fixed. The arm was moved several times thus it got pulled down too much. What I post is usually a work in progress. I'll usually just post pictures of what I have since I like giving the Dojo a special treat of taking a look at the "making of" scenes. This all happened since the hands and feet were done first which is pretty unusual. I needed to do this though since I am making casts of them for a different project which I will show next year. Hopefully i will have more things to share with you next year and not just the maquettes. I'm still debating if I show the "behind the scenes" journey or just release it when it's done.Steve Hubbell wrote:I love the statue, but I am going to be "Devil's Advacate" here....roel wrote:

Is it just me or does it look like he could touch the ground with his left hand with very little stooping or bending over?
And is his left hand actually larger than his feet?
