Issue 122 Note from the Editor

Post by Maka »

Hello Usagi Yojimbo Dojoers,

I picked up issues 122 yesterday.

I liked the story but my favorite part was Executive Editor, Diane Schutz, reflection on her 100 issue as editor of Usagi. What a nice tribute to Stan. It was interesting to learn Jamie Rich was Stan's first editor at Dark Horse. I just knew Jamie from issue 100*, our brief emails exchanges putting together the 25th anniversary gift and from his review work at DVDtalk.com.

Spoiler / question.

On page 22, third frame a bandit with with some what long ears seems to injure or disarm Usagi and even laughs "HA!" But then he disappears. Was he killed but we don't see it?

I love the different designs on everyone outfits.

Peace, maka

Yeah, it was nice to read about Diana and her connection to Usagi.

Oh by the way my review is up at Comixtreme.

Finally picked this issue up from the comic store and read it today. I thoroughly agree that I was very moved by Diana's remarks. Strangely enough, we share very similar tastes in terms of favorite stories, as well. I love that she still cries every time she reads the tea ceremony story. I get a little cloudy eyed, too.
