NYCC?

Post by rs2 »

foolish optimism on my part, but...
will Stan ever do the NYCC?

reason I ask, is that it's looking like the only US con I'll be making any time soon (it's a bit of a trek to NY from Scotland as is!) and indeed was there last year, and plans are already afoot for October next year, but I thought I'd ask if this is ever likely to happen?

not that this'd make my year/decade or anything... okay. it would.

I have no plans to do the NYCC, however I am still uncertain as to 2010 plans. I do have a few trips I committed to, but they are for the first half of the year.

I usually update my schedule on the Dojo Boards.

thank you!
it'd be cracking if it happens. if not? well, I'll have to take a look at your con schedule and base my '12 jaunt around it!

Stan is always at the San Diego Comicon. So that's one guarantee ;)

that's a possibility for 2012!

although I've got to convince my 3 friends that yes, it'll be worth the extra 6 hours on the plane...
still, I think I'll start plotting that after NYCC!

although things are now looking crazy for NY next year what with Wizard deciding that yes, the exact same weekend as NYCC is the perfect time for them to have their con...

(couldn't they have made it the weekend before or after? if it's the same location, they're 20 blocks away and that's gonna make this a complete drag)

Well my plan is to be there next year.
Could be interesting having the two cons the same weekend.
Might switch between the 2

yeah, but the distance between the two makes me think that it'll be a nightmare...

still, all hinges on who's at what.

I believe the NY AnimeFest is going to be united with NYCC to make it even bigger

it's $30 for a day pass on site (I think) or $45 in advance for the weekend.

I'd rather pay an extra $15 and just come and go as I choose between the two, truth be told...
