Usagi's nomination aside, what are your thoughts on the nominees?
Best Single Issue (or One-Shot): What was that Brave & the Bold issue about? I stopped paying attention to that title after the fourth issue and didn't even know it was still going.
Best Continuing Series: Fables is still going? Of course, I'd like to know why Usagi wasn't nominated.
Best Limited Series or Story Arc: I whole-heartedly endorse Old Man Logan for this one. FANTASTIC storytelling!
Best Publication for Kids: Are the Boom! Studios Disney titles too new to be included in this category? I've heard amazing things about the Donald Duck spy storyline as well as the Wizards of Mickey.
Best Archival Collection/Project—Strips: I heard there were major issues with the Bloom County anthology, so I'm surprised to see it included here. I held off on buying my copy based on complaints that the reproduction quality was poor and, worse yet, that many strips were censored and/or omitted in this version even while many more were included for the first time.
Best Writer: James Robinson? REALLY?? I'm amazed that Paul Dini was overlooked.
Best Penciller/Inker or Penciller/Inker Team: Absolutely J.H. Williams III for his work on Detective Comics. It's some of the best artwork I've ever seen in comics.
Best Coloring: Thank you for recognizing Dave Stewart! Amazing work.
