The nice thing about being the only one at your LCS who digs Usagi is that you often get the free promotional posters once they come off the walls. I try very hard to get my LCS owner to keep increasing his orders and pushing Usagi onto other readers, but I have to admit that being in the minority has its advantages.

Speaking of promotional posters, my nephews' cousins were in town from Denver earlier this month. Thanks to my nephews, they are big Usagi fans as well. While they were here, they stopped in at the local comic shop and saw the cool 25th anniversary poster hanging on the wall there, and of course inquired about it. They were told that it was being saved for me, which was a complete surprise to me when they told me about it later.

I have been in the store there at least once a month over the past year since they hung up that poster and nobody there ever mentioned that they were saving it for me. I do know that I complimented them on the cool poster the first time I saw it on the wall, but I never asked for it since I had receive a small supply of the posters from a friend who attended WonderCon back when they first became available. I still think that poster looks great hanging there at the comic shop and I hope they keep it up on the wall for a few more years.

I did give my nephews' cousins the last poster I had (not counting my own copy) along with a few other Usagi promotional items to take back to Denver.

hey steve!
you are talking about the uy 25 years poster with the cast standing around and smiling, right?the one you so gratiously send me a few months ago?...
or is there another 25 years celebration poster?...
I order my usagi books from a little comic book shop up in berlin, thats a long way from munich since it is the only shop I found that carries the original 10 or so issues a year.....there is no usagi promotional goodies to see for me could you tell me what you guys get to see up there?

Yeah, my LCS has promised me the 25th anniversary poster when it comes down (I don't have one!), but I don't think it's coming down anytime soon, and it's yellowing nicely in the store window. Glad it's up there, promoting Usagi though!

Congradulations! As they say, good things come to those who are patient. And lots of previously unread Usagi Yojimbo stories has to be one of the better things to receive. :D

Forgive the exuberance, but, like I've said, I've missed out on sooooo much for soooo long! It's wonderful to have all of this material to drool over! It's like food to a starving man!
