Help wanted for Complete Fantagraphics collection

Post by Stan Sakai »

Fantagraphics needs scans of the covers of Albedo #4 and Critters issues 3, 10, 14, 38 for the cover gallery for the Complete Fantagraphics UY. I'm just too busy to slog through my garage to look for them. If you can send them scans, I would appreciate it. If you can also send the back cover of Albedo #3, that would be a bonus.

Post on this thread if you can do it, and I will PM you the address to send them to.

Thank you.

Got the issues, but all I've got is a low res camera to shoot them with. If no one else can do it, I'll see if my library has a scanner I can use.

I have a great, high quality scanner at work, but don't have the individual issues. If someone was willing to send them to me, I could scan them and send them back. I can have the machine send me the files as a pdf or jpg in an email and then just forward it on from there. Let me know...

What file format and image resolution do they need the scans in?

I think they just need good resolution jpegs, say 300 dpi or so. Tifs would be even better, but are bulkier to send. For the most part, these would not be reprinted very large, maybe 4 to a page.

Fantagraphics would be able to tell you exactly what they need. First we need someone willing and able to do it.

Thank you, Roel.

Hopefully, Kim or Paul will be contacting you soon.

Cheers,

If things fall through for whatever reason, I can do it too.

I am glad that Fanta appears to be pushing to get this book finished, hopefully for this year. I can't wait to see it!

I've been patiently waiting for news on this collection since it was pushed back a year. Now having seen a friend's copy of previews I see it is solicited again finally.

My question: Will there be a signed version of this collection?

Thanks! :D

So, will there be a signed and numbered edition of this? I remember that being part of the original plan, even listed on Amazon. With the regular version being only $50 from DCBS, the service I use for all my comics etc., I won't worry too much about it. But I would like to know if there will be a limited edition to this.

Thanks. :D

good evening gentlemen!
although I do not know whether there is a signed version I can tell that amazon.com places it's publication date now being october 12th 2010...
but oversease in Germany amazon just erased the data of publication date...and here the book will cost way more money than in your country...

There will not be a signed edition. One was originally planned by Fantagraphics but, upon thinking it over, Kim decided the regular edition was expensive enough without putting out a higher priced edition.

That is fine with me because I'm busy enough without having to draw new endpapers or cards and having to sign them.
