Re: 2012 Convention schedule
Ouch, sorry to hear that Todd. How many hotels did you enter in the list of preferences?
Someone else I know entered 18 hotels and got their 15th choice (one just behind the airport) despite submitting four minutes after things opened. I really believe it's a bit random, especially given two years ago in 2010 when I submitted after some people and got a hotel much further up my preference list than seemingly anyone else (the Westgate was my fourth choice).
At this rate, I'll have to consider attending a different con to meet both Stan and David in the future...

With a breeze comes a storm, but then you'll all be washed away...

Is there any way to get contacted if you come to Croatia again? It would be an honor to have you in my home country again.Stan Sakai wrote:Nothing planned. I had to decline two invitations because of scheduling conflicts.Aco wrote:No shows in Europe in 2011/2012?
I would like to return to Croatia, and perhaps visit Slovenia (I heard there was a neat cave system there). Hopefully, Sharon would be able to join me.
I missed you last time, and I still regret not having seen the date until it was too late.

Croatia would probably be in late October or November, if I go at all. I usually announce dates on this website as they are confirmed. The organizers want to organize an exhibition of my work for the festival.CezarJ wrote:Is there any way to get contacted if you come to Croatia again? Thank You for the reply. I will keep it in my mind that there is a possibility, and I'll try not to miss it this time.

Questions, I have questions......
Does this coincide with anything at the museum?
Will you also be doing quick sketches at this signing, or is it signings only?
Will you (can you) bring any hardcovers for sale?

Re: 2012 Convention schedule
I will only be signing books at the museum signing. I think there will be a samurai santa there, but I don't know if there is any special event. I can brink hardcovers for sale, if you tell me which ones you need. I mainly have the more recent ones, plus just a few of the older volumes.maichan wrote:Hi Stan,Stan Sakai wrote:

I will also be doing a signing this Sunday at the Carson Center (11AM-1PM) as a guest of Heritage Source. This is at the Krafty Delites holiday craft fair.

Re: 2012 Convention schedule
Thanks for the reply Stan.
Hopefully I'll be able to make one event or the other (maybe even both).
I'll double-check my HC wanted list and send you a PM later to see if you have any HCs that I'm after.
p.s. - is it okay to bring our own books for signing at the Carson Center?

Re: 2012 Convention schedule
I have visited Poland twice. I was invited this year but could not accept because my wife has some health problems, though Sharon's health is stable now.kony000 wrote:Dear Mr Sakai when You eventually come to Poland?

Hopefully, I will visit your country again. What city do you live in?

Re: 2012 Convention schedule
What a shame that You couldn't come this year:(
I of course understand that health of Your wife is more imporant for You. But I'm happy hearing that She is okay now.
I live in Lublin in the east of Poland (2 hours from Warsaw). Probably there won't be any event here but if You will have some time and want to visit other part of Poland, be my guest. I will show You city and even host You
Unfortunately more likely situation is that I will come to Warsaw on meeting with You or other big city
But now it is just a supposition. I'm looking forward for some news about Your coming, of course the sooner the better
Best wishes!
