I am looking for an extra Usagi San Diego con sketchbook....
Dear Readers,
I am looking for a copy of the Usagi Yojimbo sketch book from the San Diego Comicon. I am also looking for a deck of the Dark Horse playing cards including our hero Usagi. I can pay you or I have some extra Albedo comics if you are looking for a trade ( no, I do not have an extra Albedo #2! but I do have an extra 3 and 4...). Thank you very much in advance for helping me.
Best wishes to all.

Dear Reader,
I bid $20 on that auction and was among the first bidders.
I could have bid the $40 "buy it now" but did not.
I want the profits to go to Mr. Sakai.
I think it may not a fake bid.
There really are independently wealthy people who have so much money price is no object. There are also hard core fans like myself who will go without to save enough to splurge every once in a while. You probably are like this or know someone who is.
I was very upset about not going to the San Diego Comic Con this year. For once i had a great free place to stay. I planned on using my summer job paycheck but state budget cutbacks eliminated my job. I could not get the cash together and felt bad about missing the Dojo get together. But 2 days before the Comicon my wife broke her ankle. Now I realize I would not have gone to San Diego even if I had the money. Funny how things work out.
Thank you all for the fun!
Best wishes,

Damn! I forgot to pick up a copy while I was there... perhaps I should bid...most likely not though, at that price! I don't blame the seller entirely... he did start it off at the $10 price tag, which was fair, and it's not like the book was available anywhere else. But I can't help but feel like he's taking advantage of the rareness of the book! Hopefully the current bid is fake so he won't make too much money off of it. Though I doubt it is.
Most likely the content of the sketchbook will be available in a forthcoming collected addition or Art of UY book. Or perhaps with Stan's permission the sketchbook can be made available as an online feature here at the UYD or DHC site....? That way those who don't have it can still enjoy the awesome artwork that it contains....just a thought.

I've seen this before with videogames released only at a show and then getting sold off on eBay afterwards. Sadly that's what happens when demand is about people not being able to make it. Thankfully someone here was kind enough to get a copy for me

With a breeze comes a storm, but then you'll all be washed away...
Infinite thank yous.....
Dear Readers,

You're on on the east coast and she's in the United Kingdom. Now that's a long distance relationship.kimano wrote:I just wanted to say that the bid is real. my girlfriend is the one that is winning that and is doing it for me. I was unable to attend(me being in the east coast). I am a huge Usagi fan and she is buying it for me. It is a real bid.
Good luck on the auction.

Whoever won the bid of over $100 will be pleased to know that Bud Plant will be carrying the sketchbook for $10.
