Mark Evanier reports that there will be a convention in Anaheim, put on by the San Diego Con people. It will take place Easter weekend. Whether it will be called WonderCon is still up in the air, though. Mark can explain it much better than I can:

WonderCon or not, I plan to be at the Anaheim convention.

Off topic--I have been unable to post a greeting to "Newbie Nelvisimo" on his thread, so I thought I will post it here. I hope you all don't mind. Hopefully he will read this. I just want to tell him, "Welcome!"

Re: Anaheim/WonderCon?
Anaheim would be nice for me because I could save on travel cost (I could stay with my folks in LA). I was able to go to San Francisco two years ago and it was a great location and public transportation rocks up there. But my sister-in-law moved out of the city so I probably won't make the con for a while unless it's in So. Cal. But Easter weekend isn't great timing either because that is family time. Pros and Cons.
Peace, maka

I agree. I like the Anaheim location, but not that it's on Easter weekend.Maka wrote: Easter weekend isn't great timing either because that is family time. Pros and Cons.Peace, maka

Re: Anaheim/WonderCon?
I love having WonderCon at the Moscone Center in SF, but accept it's not happening Spring 2013 due to Moscone. I could get used to it in the Fall.
I loved seeing Stan at the con this year, but didn't find much to like at Anaheim myself.
The access for vendors moving merchandise to their booths was very poor and moving out on Sunday ran late.
The skies were overcast and we did get some rain.
When they passed out plastic sheets to cover the booths at night, it was hardly reassuring.
Parking was pretty bad, too.

Never mind... The news link I posted just had the same info as Sensei's.

Okay, interesting speculation on the actual dates for the Anaheim "Wondercon" in 2013:
