Mouse Guard is supposed to be really great, but I have only read a small part of it.
If you start reading it now, you will be aware of any background which might be required to fully appreciate Stan's upcoming Mouse Guard story in the "Legends of the Guard volume 2" coming out sometime in the (near?) future.
And David Petersen's artwork looks fantastic, and the hardcover collections are definitely a worthy addition to any book collection.
Thanks guys. Do you know where I could purchase all three at once? Preferably at a discount.
My go to online stores don't have them and I'd have to buy from three different sellers on Amazon which results in three different S/H fees. At least that's the way I understand it. I used Amazon many years ago and the book they sent me was damaged.
I've been sluggishly re-reading the entire series since about 2 years ago when the special edition came out. Since the hiatus my pace has picked up to make up for the lack of new issues - and, importantly, to get through to the last three (so far) tpbs which I haven't read and collect the material just before I started buying the single issues ('The Death of Lord Hikiji' was my initial issue).

I actually received a copy of "Legends" as a gift this past Christmas, recommended by one of the employees (owners?) at my local comic shop (Fanfare of Kalamazoo) when asked what they thought I might like. I could check and see if they have more Mouse Guard books in stock, but I doubt that they are discounted like what you would find through Amazon.
My suggestion on another thread was "make use of the free long distance calling available now with most cell phone plans and CALL around to differant comic shops! The majority of comic shops don't run web-sites because they don't have the time or don't want to try and compete with the extra competition. But they will usually still do phone orders and mail stuff out.
(I managed to find several of the ltd ed hc Usagi books and a couple of the 11-color silkscreen "Banners" prints this way)
Mouse Guard is definitely worth it. One of my favorite series by far. Fall & Winter 1152 are both spectacular. Legends is good, but not quite the same since it's not one story. Black Axe will also be great when it comes out in HC this summer.
