WTB - some UY Hardcovers

Post by maichan »

I know a lot of people are looking for hardcovers, and that the competition is probably fierce  , but I thought I'd post my wants in the small chance maybe someone might have some for offer...

...I can dream, right?

Anyways, here's my list of the hardcovers that I'm still after:

#1 The Ronin

#6 Circles
#7 Gen's Story
#8 Shades of Death

#12 Grasscutter

If anyone has any of these books, or might have a lead as to where any might be found, please leave a reply or PM or email me at toyotageek(at)yahoo(dot)com :D

Arrigatou!

P.S., I should say, I know they occasionally pop-up on eBay, but I'm not a frequent eBay user and don't really keep an eye on them there (maybe I should).

Edit - Updated list - removed #10, #11, and #13; removed #14; removed #3 :D

Watch amazon, sometimes they pop up relatively cheap. Try calling some of the TFAW stores, not the online version, they sometimes still have some older ones in stock.....

Thank you Steve! I now have 4 new Hardcovers in hand.
I've updated my first post to reflect my current list of "Maichan's Most Wanted Hardcovers" - only 6 to go! Wish me luck!

I know it's not on your list but I have a Space Usagi hardcover if interested.

Updated my main list.
I was able to find #3 The Wanderer's Road from a book store in New York for the cover price of $50! That made my day! :D

Thanks Steve! But you're putting me between a rock & a hard place....
Five hardcovers (and another pending), 38 Usagi comics, and even more early Groo comics all in one month has put me in a bit of a pinch...
I think I need to take a short break from buying anything more, before my wife puts me out on the porch.
On the other-hand, the books may be worth a few nights of sleeping under the stars.

I contacted one of the sellers of Book 1. It was listed incorrectly and is actually a TB (they took it down already).

I am still searching for Book #3 - Wanderer's Road HC signed - that has been the toughest one for me to find - any help would be appreciated

It took me several years of persistent searching to get all the hardcovers I was missing. Some I found at cost, others I had to pay double the cover price. Just keep searching online, eBay, and calling comic shops and (used) book stores. I'm on the west coast, and I wound up finding number 3 from a book seller on the east coast! Hopefully you'll eventually find a copy. Good luck!!
