This is the post that worries me. I'll give it a day or so, then contact amazon.

I ordered on June 20th. My shipping selection was Amazon Prime 2-day.

@Saga Vol. 1 HC

As I didn't get any Usagi-HCs in the past via amazon, I'm quite extited that it seems to go through this time. This email from amazon reached me:
Thank you for shopping with us. We thought you'd like to know that we shipped your item, and that this completes your order. Your order is on its way, ...
:)

Greetings

Looks like Barnes & Noble has some. I just ordered mine from there, for the same price as the Amazon one was. Good luck.

Gone...My copy arrived damaged so I'm looking for another if I can find one. I have the worst luck with hardcovers.

Looks like my comic shop got confused and thought I was getting this from Stan, like I had the h/c for the ongoing series. Well, drat. There's still a listing on Amazon.co.uk, so I've tried that for a copy. Have to see if it's fulfilled. If not, my store is still going to keep looking for me, and maybe have to trawl eBay...

That's too bad. How bad is the damage?

It's not that bad. I was just venting a bit. :) The last few pages were stuck together and when I opened the book the end paper peeled up.

They all have these little tabs. I'm just going to cut them off and glue the end paper back down.

Ahhh, so it's actually a manufacturing defect  .... I thought maybe you incurred damaged due to poor packaging. I had the same type of defect on some magazines a a few books. Not much you can due but trim the pages. Sucks, but at least it wasn't something worse.

Received my copy of the hardcover today. Beautifully designed package. Looking forward to making time to read all these stories again. Glad they did the cover gallery and included all the intros from the previous collections. Wish Fantagraphics had done the same.

I received my shipping notice from Amazon this week (placed my pre-order back in May) and I got it today.

Oddly enough, my copy is damaged too, a small tab of the outer book covering is torn at the top of the book's spine. It doesn't affect the binding and the shipping box wasn't damaged. I considered going through Amazon's return service but seeing as how quickly Usagi HCs sell out, I'm afraid if they replace it, I'll get the softcover edition instead (not that there's anything wrong with that  ).

So I've decided to keep it. #773 of 900. Beautiful, beautiful book. A great way for me to go back and re-read these classic stories.

I've also gone ahead and placed my pre-orders for the Vols. 2 & 3 HC.

I just received an email newsletter from Bud Plant, and he still has copies of the UY Saga HC for cover price.

He also has the tpbk for $4 off and The Sakai Project with a signed book plate.
