See, I look at that and think "Hmmm. Someone's been leafing through my GNs," and that actually makes me pretty happy. I like not being the only geek in the houseGaffey wrote:
Your Hellboy books are out of numerical order. That would drive me bananas.
What do you have on "your" bookshelves?

Re: What do you have on "your" bookshelves?
Alright, since I finally got done organizing my comic shelves, here's the rest of them...
Once more I apologize in advance I'm case any images appear sideways and/or upside down. I actually tried signing up for Photobucket today, but computer problems prevented that...
I moved all of my Hellboy books over here, since I didn't want them so close to the floor. If you look at the previous pictures I posted, you can see that they are only about an inch off the ground. That takes up most of the room over here. The upper left shelf is my "unread pile" and a Thanos funko POP. The stack of comics to the right of the shelves are issues that I probably won't be re-reading, and will most likely get rid of them.
The top shelf has all of my Mignolaverse single issues (the Lobster Johnson ones are bagged and boarded), a Hellboy card game, and a Boba Fett action figure. The cards in front are (from left to right): two stickers from Tonci Zonjic, based off of his Inktober drawings this year, two Lobster sketch cards by artist Steve Ott, and a Lobster sketch by Art Baltazar.
Below that are the Hellboy trades, various other books by Mignolaverse creators, and any HB issues that I have duplicates of. The bottom shelf, which contains some Marvel and DC books, a few books from Dark Horse and Image that aren't Hellboy or Usagi related, a Peanuts art book, and the Firefly 10th anniversary book.

I have to ask, those editions of Howard and Lovecraft look terrific. What specific edition(s) are those?shaxper wrote:As an English teacher (and former English major) married to an English teacher (and former English major) I have a LOT of books in my house, but here are the shelves that contain items of interest to this thread:
My most prominent shelves, filled with the books I appreciate and revisit most often:
Center top: Robert E. Howard and H.P. Lovecraft
Center bottom: Shakespeare, other Elizabethan dramatists, James Joyce, and Usagi

Peace, maka

Ditto! Though I think it'd be difficult for anyone to match the impressiveness of Steve's collection.jabba359 wrote:My bookshelf isn't nearly as impressive as yours. I have ten shelves overflowing with books, but only 3/4 of one dedicated to Usagi, though I expect that to keep growing.
At the mo my Stan Sakai/UY collection consists of various issues between #78 and #152 (non-bagged and well-leafed); six issues of Senso; the seven Fantagraphics books (might replace them sometime with the special editions); Dark Horse books 10-12; and The Sakai Project.
Three recent additions are Usagi Yojimbo Saga #1; a hardcover copy of The Art of Usagi Yojimbo that turned up here in Ireland (I'm a bit of a skinflint and haven't often paid up to £100 for a single book, but this was surprisingly easy); and a hardcover copy of The 47 Ronin. That fell through the letterbox a couple of days ago. It's great.
Re: What do you have on "your" bookshelves?
Time to revive an old thread. It's a shame most of the pictures were taken away by photobucket. Anyway, I finally traded/sold the last of my trades and hardcovers that I knew I would never read again. Many were purchased during InStockTrades 70%-90% off sale.

That's a nice little collection Jabba.jabba359 wrote:My bookshelf isn't nearly as impressive as yours. I have best gaming mouse ten shelves overflowing with books, but only 3/4 of one dedicated to Usagi, though I expect that to keep growing.

Thanks, though my shelf looks a bit different now with all the UY Saga hardcovers that have come out since I posted. I need to take a new picture one of these days.RonaldKa wrote:That's a nice little collection Jabba.
