Re: Usagi Yojimbo #21 original cover on HA
Actually I won the print and the Tomoe/Usagi/Gen piece ($380 for a color piece from the '80s with 3 main characters, it was a bargain and I couldn't resist, but my credit card is not so happy about it...)
EDIT:
maichan, I see that this print is one of your favourites. Since I bought two items, if you want it I can give it to you, for the same price that I paid for it.
I've already asked Eltanin to help me out with the shipping. If HA agrees, then they'll ship the items to Him, and I'm sure we can arrange something to ship this print to you. Please PM me if you are interested.

Been such a busy weekend, I completely forgot to go back last night and join the live auction
might have bid on the Usagi/Tomoe/Gen piece too...

I hear you. I keep forgetting about these auctions and would have certainly bid up that Usagi/Tomorrow/Gen piece as well. Congrats on the awesome piece Krash!Mayhem wrote:Been such a busy weekend, I completely forgot to go back last night and join the live auctionmight have bid on the Usagi/Tomoe/Gen piece too...

Congratulations Krash! I'm sure you will enjoy the art, even if your wallet isn't happy. But wallets are easy to make happy, fill it with ones and it'll feel full again!Krash01 wrote:Actually I won the print and the Tomoe/Usagi/Gen piece ($380 for a color piece from the '80s with 3 main characters, it was a bargain and I couldn't resist, but my credit card is not so happy about it...)

Stan's own cover for the TMNT/Usagi one shot will apparently be sold through Heritage in November...

Stan had the cover art for the Sakai exclusive cover for sale at SDCC

I have a feeling I'm bidding against some of you guys for the Usagi/ninja piece.
Out of curiosity, in what year did Stan start drawing the scar? It's missing from a few '87 pieces and at least one '88 that I've seen.

I won the two prints on HA (Quiet meal and color with moon and tokage).
That image with the clouds and the dragonflies is one of my all time favorites, so I didn't mind ponying up a bit to get it. I used to actually practice drawing the Stan-style dragonflies, so lots of nostalgia there! Now I have to think about that color one too...
I'd been saving here and there for some original cover art, so I set myself back in that regard, I suppose!

Dunno whether you are still winning on the Usagi/ninja piece there Gaffey, but it's over $700 now, so I might be out of bidding on it...

Re: Usagi Yojimbo #21 original cover on HA
Yeah, that's more than I want to spend. I am not the highest bidder and will not be.
It's weird, I was willing to spend $1500 on Albedo 2 (PGX) and now I won't even bid on it. I feel the same about different pieces of art from time to time. I should have rolled up all my quarters and bid on the Usagi in water piece from a couple of months ago.
Still hoping to get the grey sky print for the same price I bid last time. It would be nice if Stan colored some of his leftovers since there wasn't an actual amount of colored versions declared. Then we can all get one.

I was following the Usagi on horseback, but prices went too high for now.

The Usagi in water piece with the tentacles that was on eBay only finished on $430 or so, maybe should have gone after that...
