Thanks, I also like Kindt and Lemire. I've heard good things about the Dysart Harbinger run too. I'll have to pass on the digital comics though. I can't stand sitting in front of my computer to read (other than the DojoBoard). I prefer the physical copy. Sorry trees. :(

That's cool. Your library may have some of the dead tree versions too. :). If they don't, they might have an inter library loan program. I just checked out Jillian Tamaki's Super Magic Academy today. And they had Rick Remender's Black Science Vol. 1 & 2, Warren Ellis' Trees Vol 1. for $1.50 each. And Broken Frontier anthology hardcover for $2. I love the library! :)

Many superhero comics, atlhough being unemployed lately, I don't buy that many anymore and dont' follow any series regularly.

Thanks to a friend, I have gotten into the recent IDW run of Turtles, and have read the first two omnibus collections. Sadly, they cost an absolute fortune over here.

It's not cheaper to order from say Amazon UK and ship them to Denmark?

Not really. Shipping prices sometimes run up into costing almost as much as the wares itself... and there are STILL a ton of shops that don't deliver here.

Also, the issue of having no money still remains even if the comic books get cheaper.

I suppose there is the money aspect. I had a quick look, as I'm nosy, and between ordering the collections in general from Amazon, and then the cost to ship privately from UK to Denmark, it would be about 42 quid for say the first volume. At the current exchange rate, about 350 DKK. I have no idea if Amazon UK would ship cheaper than that mind you to Denmark itself!

Pretty much the same as just getting it in the shop here, really.

Considering the weight of the books themselves, then I don't think that's too bad considering. But yes, it does make being a fan harder. Look at me getting a bunch of stuff that's only released in the US for example heh

The ones I look out for new issues, that I am really interested in, are Usagi and Groo.

I am also collecting previous issues of Jack Staff, The Shadow, Cerebus, and I am on the lookout for new collected editions of the new Aquaman books, Spider-Gwen and of Kate Bishop's Hawkeye.

I do buy a lot of old Bronze age comics collections. That's where my superhero comics come from, mainly.

Even so, with the massive superhero collection I have, I am far more interested in author-owned comics.
Now would I cheat a friend?
