Found the large Usagi at my local Walmart today. Unfortunately, the two they had were incredibly smashed up. The peg tag had today's date, so they must have put them out this morning.

Re: Usagi TMNT figure in Stores?
Just want to throw this out there...I can't find the first figure released, the Target version Usagi action figure, anywhere. I have even checked other states while on vacation. ToysRUs doesn't have it either.
If anybody on here finds one or two please message me. I will pay shipping plus whatever your store price was(as long as it was the normal $9ish dollars). I'm starting to panic that I won't find one.
Not panicking yet on the 12" figure. WalMart seems to be much better on stocking their figures. I've seen multiple Usagi/horse sets as well as the individual Usagi exclusive. I can even pick those up and trade them for the Target figures if anybody wants to do that.
Thanks!

Has there been any word on the Sakai website exclusive version of the figure.
Was it due in August, or later?
Also, what are the chances that Playmates learned from the SDCC debacle and will produce these in higher numbers?
I'm dead afraid of missing out on this one too, and I was hoping to get two (one to display in box and the other to open).

Re: Usagi TMNT figure in Stores?
I'd guess that, even in a smaller run, you'll have a good chance of getting the Sakai exclusive figure. A big part of the SDCC version is just that, SDCC. I think the heightened awareness of the most prevalent comic book convention played a big part in the demand of that figure, as anything "SDCC" is a target for scalpers. In the same way that a poster sold by Mondo suddenly becomes a collector's item and hard to get, but the same exact poster, if released with zero association with Mondo, would just be another poster, I think the non-SDCC figure will also have a reduced amount of interest solely due to its non-association with the SDCC brand.Otter wrote:Has there been any word on the Sakai website exclusive version of the figure.

I hope you're right.
I gave up on Mondo after I couldn't get their special edition First Turtle, and missed out a Creature from the Black Lagoon print.
But I'm not giving up on Usagi!

They should be available in October.
Playmates has nothing to do with the number of these exclusives produced as I ordered them specifically for me. The number produced will be just slightly lower than the SDCC exclusives. There were 500 SDCC Exclusives, 350 of which were sold at Comic-con. The rest were given to some employees, used for promotions and I received some. The Sakai Signature Exclusives will have a signed and numbered edition, a remarqued edition, and a few Artist Proofs. The Sakai Exclusive will have a different color scheme and different accessories. It will come in a display box with a panel, similar to the SDCC variant though smaller.
We will make sure that Dojo members will not miss out on this.

We do have a few of the Usagi Mondo prints. We have not put them up on the website, but you can contact Daniel at info@stansakai.com if you would like to buy one.Otter wrote:I hope you're right.

Thanks for the info Mr Sakai. October, eh? So I shouldn't be panicking just yet.Stan Sakai wrote:

Thank you for looking out for Dojo members. I know a lot were hoping to get their hands on the SDCC exclusive.
I have all of the Antarctic Press variants, so I am a little worried about what the different colour scheme entails, but I guess I can always (try to) get the standard version of the figure to use the accessories (so keen on the bow) from the Sakai version with, if the colour scheme varies too widely from my ideal Usagi figure. The SDCC version is the one I wanted to display loose (because I like the painted handles on the swords).
I may have to spring for a remarqued edition for the one I plan to display in package.

Re: Usagi TMNT figure in Stores?
Stopped by a Walmart today and they had 3 Super-sized Usagi figures. He's a bit creepy in person. Of course they didn't have the small blue figure.

Re: Usagi TMNT figure in Stores?
I've decided to forgo the big fig, and have had to resort to ebay for the regular and armoured versions. I should have been more patient, as the regular release should find its way here eventually, but with all the buzz around the crossover, SDCC and the cartoon... I just couldn't hold out any longer.
Still very keen to see waht the Sakai version will look like.

When does the mini Usagi come out again? I think he was one of those blind box toys.

I don't think we licensed a mini Usagi.Gaffey wrote:When does the mini Usagi come out again? I think he was one of those blind box toys.
