I guess this is what happens when I procrastinate....
I'm looking for Hardcovers of the 4 volume Hellboy BPRD Plague of Frogs series. It seems all but volume 1 are out-of-print. My local comic book store used to have them, but I waited too long and now they only have the TPBs. I'll probably be ordering Vol 1 from Things From Another World.
I've tried searching In Stock Trades, Stuart Ng Books, and Barnes and Noble without much luck. I am looking on eBay with mixed findings.
EDIT - Looks like Mile High has Volume 2...
Can anyone here help me? Point me in the right direction, or have any for sale. I'm looking to buy for a reasonable price (close to MSRP), not some crazy prices I have seen. Used is fine as long as in good condition.
Good luck with your search. I had vol. 1 and 2, then they all went out of print. I eventually found a b-stock vol. 4, but ended up buying the paperback of vol. 3 just to complete the series. It still bugs me every time I look at my shelf and see the mismatch. If you happen to find somewhere with multiple copies of vol. 3, I'd definitely be interested in replacing my paperback.
I wish they'd just put them out in Library Editions to match my Hellboys.
Try calling some of the actual TFAW physical stores and ask if any are in stock in the specific stores. I found a few of the UY HC editions that way....
Thanks for the info Kyle. If I find multiples of vol 3 I'll let you know - wish us luck!
I've place my order for 1 & 2 already. Didn't want to waste time and risk letting them slip through my fingers. I'm frustrated at myself for not getting the HCs when they were readily available, but I never thought they'd go out of print, especially so soon.

Thanks Steve! I'll give that a try also.
So.... I called all the stores, and no luck. The guy helping me at the Portland store referred me to a few other shops, but no luck with any of them either. I even called The Other Realms with same results.

Good luck finding volume 3 at retail. I've been looking for years. Ebay is going to be your best bet, but you'll have to pay! I have never seen the hardcover version of volume 3 at a convention or a comic shop.

Thanks...
I won't pay that kind of money... I'll just keep searching... I've got all the single comics, so not like I can't read the stories.
I called about a half-dozen local shops today. Many have the softcovers, one had v1 & v2, but no one has v3 or v4.
I don't understand why these are so hard to find. It's not like they are signed and numbered. What makes them so sought after? Short run on the 2 later books? Seems like there is a demand, so why not make a second or third printing? (or did they?).
To the best of my knowledge, they were never reprinted. Maybe they had trouble selling volume 2 and Dark Horse decided to reduce the print run. Kind of the opposite of what Dark Horse did with UY Saga after Book 1.
Just before Christmas, I was able to track down volume 3 on Ebay, and negotiated an offer with the seller. Spent more than I normally would, but I figured I better grab it while I can. Call it a Christmas present to myself. Now I' only trying to find the right volume 4 to pounce on...
