Although this question has probably been asked more often than not, we all have our favorites, and expressing that might generate some good dialogue.

Who is your favorite supporting character?
Thought maybe I would spruce up the conversation in here a bit and post a poll.

It was a tough choice between Sanshobo and the Inspector as they both have subtle traits that really appeal to me.
Sanshobo is a likeable character to me because he was a former warrior gone Buddhist monk. He still harbors the spirit of the warrior, with the calmness and discipline of a monk.
The Inspector was the underdog, and I almost always cheer for the less likely. His respect for others and his clever senses always appealed to me as a character.
Not to mention he's quite the Go enthusiast, which you really can't argue with.

More specifically, “an underdog” in respect to Chief Inspector Ogawa - That guy is a certified jerk.miyamoto musashi wrote:underdog? *refer to panel 58-70 in the hairpin murders
Ishida handles his interactions humbly, which is very appealing to me in a character.
To your point, Ishida can certainly command some respect quickly while taking action. His characteristics could almost be confused with that of a samurai.

My favourite is Chizu, but she's not listed. I like her, because she's quite a mysterious person, with a rich soul. She's that kind of person one would like to meet in real life.
Out of the choises left, I choose Gen, because he's a tough guy on the outside, but deep down inside he's a good, caring person.

no one even thanked VikingBabe, you just continue talking like nothing happened, but something did happen, work was done, and if you dont encourage work, even if its just on this thread, they wont do any more, and if you had just thanked her, the joy of change would spread to the rest of the general discussion, to the rest of the website, and maybe to the world. help was needed, and the call was answered buy none other than VikingBabe, the great lurking moderator. and so, i give my thanks to you, and your amazing work, so that all the people can dance, play, and vote for thier favorite, and not worry about the perils of having to choose from a not-so-wide variety of characters, and thus thier favorite gets less notice, as it sits with its 0 votes, as none of the people could choose them. so now we can all dance and play, and vote. thank you.
