Thank you for your patience
As you all know, Usagi has not been solicited for quite awhile. There is a reason for that, and it will all be revealed this weekend. This pre-announcement is for the Dojo and not yet public knowledge. Once it does come out though, feel free to spread the news. I just did an interview with the NY Times so it would be on their website maybe Friday and may be in the paper on Saturday. Hopefully, the comics related news-sites will also pick it up. I will be traveling to the East Coast and will be back late Saturday.
Some of you already know what is going on. To those, we thank you for not spilling the beans prematurely.

If it is the NYT then it must be serious news. I can't wait.

Stan Sakai/Usagi Yojimbo novel? That's the only thing that comes to mind when I hear The New York Times.

The official announcement: https://www.nytimes.com/2019/02/22/arts ... isher.html
Stan: I'm sure we're all curious what prompted the change, if that's something that's appropriate to share. I'm also curious how the new collected works will fit in with the current Saga hardcovers.
Am I understanding the article correctly in that they will all be in color now?

Congratulations, Stan, I hope this move is an exciting one that opens more doors for you and Usagi.
I had a feeling there might be a change in publishers on the horizon with the lack of new issues being solicited.
A much as I love a black and white comic, Usagi looks fantastic in color.
Really looking forward to the new material. Thanks for updating us!

Congratulations on the move. I was positive it was going to be a 35th Anniversary book announcement.

Re: Thank you for your patience
Congratulations!!! Exciting times for you I’m sure! Full color sounds exciting and I’m hoping this will continue to expand the fan base as you and your work definitely deserve it.
So many questions!
1. How will the Saga editions play out? Volume 9 with (31,32,33)?
2. The full library from volume one to current reprinted and collected in color?
3. I also am curious as to the story behind the change as I’m sure this was not an easy decision to make.
Lots more questions but I’m sure more will be made known over time.
I’ll start saving my money for those color collected editions! I’m going to need another bookcase!
Congrats again!!!
