Usagi Yojimbo Saga vol. 9 wishlist

So, with UY Saga 8 coming out soon and covering trade paperback books 29-31, that only leaves two books' worth of material for a theoretical Saga 9. I'm pretty sure I read that Stan said he hadn't discussed it yet with Dark Horse, but they do have the rights to make a Saga 9 if they want to.

As such, it would be a skinnier release with about 200 pages less material than the other Saga books. I was trying to think, what are we missing from the current Sagas that could be used to help fill it out? Are there any short stories from the Dark Horse era that we're missing? Any pinups? Other ideas for extra material or features you'd like to see?

How about they fill it out with:
1. Gallery section of all the limited edition Usagi prints. That would give them about another 30 pages? They could include recent prints from Stan’s site as well.
2. Sakai project artwork adds about another 150 pages?
3. SDCC program artwork like Usagi and Hellboyfrom a couple years ago or other comic convention covers art promotional artwork like the Madrid Expocomic art from 2004. This would probably add another 10 pages?
4. Any miscellaneous pin ups or covers for other books...another 10-15 pages?

Essentially this would give fans a complete checklist of all his work.

1) Nocturnals: Troll Bridge Oct/2000 - issue #1 - The Tanuki Daimyo's Candy (the “unofficial” title for a portion of the - issue long story)

2) More Fund Comics Sep/2003 - issue #1 - Ninja Hunt

3) Usagi Yojimbo Sketchbook Summer/2007 - issue #4 - Mayuni (alternate ending to Dark Horse #102 “The Killer”)

4) Usagi Yojimbo Sketchbook Summer/2012 - issue #9 - Refuge

Excellent topic.

I'd vote for including the following stories, since I don't think they've appeared in full color in the saga series:

Return to Adachigahara Plain, Book Four Hardcover, 1990, 8 pages
The Guardian, Trilogy Tour Book, 1998, 8 pages
Netsuke, Wizard #97, September 1999, 3 pages (in color as published would be cool, though I think the b/w version has appeared in a Saga)

And any remaining special stories or alternate endings that appeared in sketchbooks or other places.

Without doing some intense research on my part , I'll just go along with what others have suggested.

Has the Sixth Gun short been included in a collection yet? (I think it was, but my memory fails me without actually digging through the various books)

Since it would be Dark Horse, how about anything Usagi related that was put out for cons etc., posters, signature cards, postcards, merchandise, and that sort of stuff...

Yes, we are planning Saga 9 for 2020.

I can see why you would be. The username is just to be a reference to SHODAN from the System Shock series.
