Dear Readers,
Does anyone know how and when the IDW Usagi Yojimbo Grasscutter will be available?
I do not want to miss it like i did the skateboard deck.
Thank you in advance for your help.
Best wishes to all.

Dear go.

The IDW Grasscutter book was available at San Diego Comic Con from both the IDW booth, and from Stan directly.

I don't know when comic book stores are scheduled to receive their copies, but I would expect it to be soon.

Hopefully someone else has further information.

The Grasscutter collection is only available direct through IDW. Even I did not have any to sell at my booth. After, what IDW considers a sufficient amount to time, they may wholesale them to retailers. The regular books are an edition of 999, and there is a special limited edition with a tipped in original drawings (50 + 12 APs), then a super-rare Gold Foil Edition, embossed with the date of issue, limited to the people who attended my part of the Simonson/Sakai dinner.

Dear Stan,

Thank you for the clarification on availability at San Diego. I had assumed that you had the books at your table also.

Thankfully for me Kyle was efficient and able to procure several copies for me and several other Dojo members that had placed orders with him early on.

I checked this morning, and the book is not currently listed on IDW's website, so I guess we will have to be vigilant, and start a Grasscutter watch to alert members when the book becomes available. :D

If you don't mind me asking, how much was the book? I'm interested in the 50 + 12APs version.

If I recall the book was $150 for the standard edition. My book is #319. I don't think I was even aware of the special limited edition with a tipped in original drawings (50 + 12 APs - although Kyle did mention he didn't have luck with any AP versions), so maybe Stan or Kyle can tell us more about that version. It sounds like something I might still be interested in also, and I'm curious about the "tipped in original drawings" part of it.

Dear Stan,

If I'm understanding correctly, even the 12 AP will only be available via IDW and not Stansakai.com. Is that right? I would assume you would get the AP versions but I really don't know anything. :)

Peace, maka

Here is a look at some of the sketches I did for the Grasscutter limited book. I had been posting them on FB in May.

I think I may be getting at least some of the 12 APs, though I'm not sure. I don't know what the price for this edition will be.

When I spoke with Scott at IDW he said the 50 edition would be $300-$500 but they had not decided on a price yet.
The standard silver foil 999 edition is $150
