The same thing happens on Mattel's Hot Wheels Redline Club (RLC) webshop every time they have a new exclusive model. Worst part is you have to be a paid member and then there are still problems, people somehow getting in early or through a back door, the site crashing, etc. Then there are the people that have multiple accounts just so they can get as many models as possible in order to resale them. People complain every time, but nothing improves. Which is why I eventually gave up with the RLC.

I would imagine that IDW's servers probably just can't handle the tidal wave of hits that they are getting.

I was able to get on the IDW page yesterday while at work and placed an order for the three books that are listed as having new bookplates, but the exclusive Peach cover was listed as unavailable then, as it has been all day today so far.

I refreshed just as the clock changed from 9:59 to 10:00, added two to my cart, went straight to checkout, and they got removed as I was clicking through to pay. I know Stan said he had one for me (thanks Stan!!!) but I was trying to get extras to help out Dojo members.

*then they let me know it was SOLD OUT.

I was in at 10:00:02 PST. I had to be one of the first in and Usagi was sold out but every other book was available. I can’t believe that 200 Usagi books sold out in two second but yet 162 TMNT books were there.

I was unable to get a copy either. I had it in my cart but then it was gone before I could check out. It’s very unfortunate since I have been able to obtain every variant so far, and the thought of paying EBay prices is not pleasant.

Yeah I was in straight as it opened up, and didn't succeed, got to payment screen within 40 seconds having added everything I needed. Mate of mine got there in under 25 seconds and didn't get any either. I suspect either bots or tons of Peach fans just flooded the site. She is red hot right now.

It went live before 10:00, I refreshed at around 9:59:45 and the page loaded live for me. If you say they were gone at that timestamp, they sold out in 20-25 seconds then, assuming I didn't refresh exactly at the moment it went live, but I was repeatedly pressing F5.

Very disappointing . . . was *anyone* from the Dojo successful? If so, they probably snagged two copies, maybe there will be some horse-trading on the forum? I know I would swap for any of the earlier variant covers . . .
